Randy placed his arms around my shoulder as we walked in the pack house.

"Hi guys, what brings you here?" Alpha Dylan, Diego's Dad asked as he smiled warmly to us. Funny how Alpha Dylan is so much different compared to Diego.

"You see, today Diego used his alpha voice on me but I managed to resist his command and then suddenly a unknown power just surged through me and made Diego flinched. I came to talk to you because I guess you might have some answers." I explained.

A thoughtful look flitted across Alpha Dylan's face, sighed and said to us,

"I guess I have to provide you with answers, aren't I? Follow me." He led us to his office and asked us to take a seat.

He went through his drawers and brought out a picture. He handed it to us and I saw Dad with a older looking guy that Dad resembles a lot.

"Who is the older guy?" Randy questioned before I could.

"Your grandfather. He was the alpha of our pack, the Crescent Moon Pack. When your father was born, everyone expected your father to be the future alpha, but somehow the alpha gene wasn't passed down to him. So he naturally became a beta. I'm guessing it skipped a generation to you and your Brother. I became alpha because my parents were Alphas but they passed away from a rogue attack a year before I joined this pack. When I arrived, your father was forced to become Alpha and when he smelt the Alpha gene in me, he requested for me to take over the position, so I became Alpha and he became my beta. And now you both are very powerful because you have both alpha and beta's blood. Your alpha side didn't came out till you both turned 17 because he had a witch to cast a spell to hide your alpha side till you turn 17."

That explains why I can resist Diego's command. I'm a alpha too.

"So... where's my grandfather now?" I asked.

"He moved to Arizona at a countryside. He moved there with your grandmother to get away from the pack as he thinks it's getting noisy and he wants to lead a peaceful life ahead." Alpha explained.

"Why didn't he try to contact us?" Randy asked, a little sadly.

"Your father resented the fact that he wasn't a true alpha so he kept you away from them. He was angry that he didn't get the alpha gene. Although he later regretted the way he acted to your grandfather, his pride won't allow him to apologize." Alpha explained again.

"Do you have his contact number?" I asked, and alpha nodded,"Can you give it to us?" Randy asked. Again alpha nodded then scribbled a contact number and handed it to us.

"Thanks Alpha for your time." Randy thanked.

"No problem. His name is Isaac Hale."

We walked out of the office and asked Randy, "Are you gonna call him?"

He nodded, "Tonight."

Suddenly I bumped into a pillar of sparks that reduced to little compared to the first time.

Diego looked down at me sadly while I was confused. What did he mean by his look? I just walked away from him.

Stupid mate why did you have to reject me. Why can't you love me like Randy and Lexi? I sighed again. I felt tears welling up in my eyes but I quickly wiped my tears away so Randy won't go ape shit on Diego. He may reject me but I still care for him. How sad.

"Hey sis, you alright? I made sure to kill that asshole with my eyes, I'm sure he's dead inside." He asked and joked.

I laughed, then replied,"Yea I'm fine. I'm sure I can cope without a mate. Besides, I've got my eyes on Rick." I smirked.

Randy didn't seem to have a problem with that as he's friends with him, despite Diego's hatred for Rick.

"Hmm, just be careful sis." He said, concerned.

"I will." Then I hugged him. "Thanks for being the best brother. Don't let it get to your head." I chuckled. All he did was glare at me in amusement.

Then he did the most childish thing a seventeen year old boy can do, he stuck out his tongue.

"Grow up, Randy." I said, jokingly.

"No can do." Randy snickered.

It's time for me to get over it, the whole rejected mate thing.

Oh Diego, you're gonna pay for this.

DIEGO'S POV

I knocked on my dad's door, then he told me to come in.

"Hey dad I need to ask you something."

"Is it regarding the Hale siblings?" He asked, without looking up at me.

How did he know?

"They came to find me today."

Did I say that out loud?

"Yes you did, son," He paused, "Why are you asking? I think you know their grandfather was alpha and skipped a gene and passed down to them. You couldn't detect the alpha scent was because their parents got a witch to spell it till they turn 17."

Wow, my mate is an alpha.

"Oh, thanks dad."

"Why are you so concerned? Other than the fact that she made you flinched and you skipped class." He asked, suspiciously.

"Well, erm..." I paused, "Rosa's my mate."

"Buuuut?" He questioned as I didn't sound quite happy.

"I rejected her." then I looked away.

In a second he was infront of me and he grabbed my shirt.

"WHY DID YOU REJECT HER? HAVE I NOT TOLD YOU MATES ARE PRECIOUS AND YOU HAVE TO CHERISH THEM?" He shouted at me with alpha voice.

"I THOUGHT SHE WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I WAS WRONG, OKAY? I CAN'T UNDO MY ACTIONS ANYMORE." I shouted then said softly at the last sentence.

"It's your loss." He let me go, gave me one last look, shook his head in disappointment and walked out of the study.

Sigh.

I just had to be all alpha and arrogant right? I thought the omega was way better than my sexy mate.

I was wrong.

I had a forbidden wetness trailing down my cheeks. This time, I didn't bother to wipe it away.

I jumped out of the window and shifted into my wolf mid-air.

Then I ran and ran till I gave out a sad, loud howl.
