CHAPTER SIX

<<Zayn's POV>>

I started on my lessons for Niall. I ripped out a page out of the sketchbook to help him get guidance. I cleared some of the shit on my desk. I put on some music on my phone.

"Okay, now what first?" Niall asked. I sharpen the pencil and taught him how to hold it.

"What do you want to draw?" I asked.

"Um, something simple, how about just basic facial structures? And realistically too." Niall asked. He took off his jacket and shoes.

"Okay." I said. Side to side started to play on my phone. I'm talkin' to ya, see you standing over there with your body. Feeling like I wanna rock with your body. And we don't gotta think 'bout nothin'

"Nice music choice." Niall laughed. I blushed.

"Thanks. Ari's a queen." I giggled. I hope Niall won't judge me.

"She's pretty good." Niall agreed. We went to drawing.

I taught him the basics of drawing facial structures by example. To draw the outlines very lightly with an HB pencil. Then the guidelines. Niall drew a bit too hard, but it was his first time doing it this way. Then the basic facial structures. Then I taught him to use a tortillon and blend it all in.

"For softer blending, use your fingers. For backgrounds, use the chamois." I instructed. "Add more contours on the jawline, hairline and the cheekbones, with dramatic highlights on the top of the cheekbones, nose, and forehead to get a glowing effect." I said. I'll pull up a picture of one of my favourite models, Kendall Jenner." I said. I pulled up a picture, as music kept playing.

"Oh, wasn't she the one on the Victoria's Secret Runway?" Niall asked.

"Yeah, how did you know? Do you shop at Victoria's Secret?" I asked.

"No, there's just a lot of really nice clothes." Niall said. "Aesthetically." I shot him a look.

We went back to the drawing. I taught him to start in the top left corner, since we were right handed and it would prevent smudging. To draw the hair, we needed to fill in the darker areas, then the highlights, then to blend and layer it. Finally, to add textures and strands. For the face, blend it all in, add any contours, birthmarks and blush. Then the eye shadows and the liner. Drawing was similar to doing makeup. Which I do occasionally.

"Eyes are always my favorite parts to do." I said. "They're like windows to the soul."

"They're so pretty." Niall said. "I like chocolate brown eyes the most." he said.

"I like those blue eyes, they're so beautiful." I said. I went on to teaching Niall to carefully blend around the eyes, and add highlights in the corner. Then to do the eyebrows.

"Most models want the ends of the brows to align with the nostrils." I said. Niall's picture was doing mediocre, but I mean, it was his first time. Even Rembrandt and da Vinci had to start somewhere. His brows were a bit thick and the highlights were in the wrong places and he blended a bit too hard.

"Then the lashes are the last things on the eyes you want to do. And since Kendall has dark, feathery falsies, you're gonna want to make them dark, and bold." I taught. I quickly did a few sweeps and perfected the lashes. Niall tried, but he went to slow and tried too hard.

"Uh oh, those look like spider legs." He said.

"You need to be fluid, and swift." I said. Niall did the other eye, with finesse and did a bit better, but they were a bit long. And didn't match the other eye. But it was okay. Then we went on the lips and nose.
