"I don't get it.." Caitlin said. "Why don't you just tell Barry?"
"Tell him what?" You asked. "That I love him?"
"Is that even a question?" Caitlin smirked.
"Well," You began. "1, he's in love with Iris. 2, you know I don't have the guts to spill it out. I'm not like that."
"He's in love with Iris?" She asked.
"Is that even a question?" You frowned.
"I don't see why you won't spill it out." Caitlin said. "I mean- you never know. He might like you, too."
"Oh, sure. And what do I do when I tell him and he doesn't feel the same?" You say.
"We-"
"He might not feel the same about me. I'd rather love him without him knowing than get my heart shattered and lose a best friend."
"Yeah, right..he's totally bonkers for you." Caitlin said.
"I love when friends lie." You say.
"No, (Y/N), I'm serious."
"Really?"
"Of course."
You feel your heart flutter. You know Caitlin would never lie to you.
You quickly snap out of it, and face reality.
"How do I say it to him? I'm not gonna walk up to him and say:
Hey Barry! I'm in love with you. I'm amazed when I look at you. Not for looks but for you! Everything I want is inside of your heart and the only way I'll get it, is if I'm in your heart, as well!
Because I am not saying that."
"Is that how you really feel, (Y/N)?" Caitlin asked.
"Yes.. I think? I don't know. It's complicated." You sighed.
You walk over to the corner and grab your backpack.
"I need to go home for a few hours. My dogs are probably hungry. So I'll catch ya later."
You left the room in a swift matter, leaving Caitlin by herself.
"You gonna stop eavesdropping or what Barry?" Caitlin said.
Barry walked into the room, acting like nothing happened.
"Eavesdropping? I wasn't eavesdropping.." Barry said.
"Sure you weren't." She smiled.
Barry couldn't help but smile. And Caitlin couldn't help but notice!
"What's that big smile for?" Caitlin smirked.
"She loves me..."
