Dans POV

The autumn rain pattered gently on my bedroom window as I stared at my blank wall.

I wish I could cover it with posters and pictures to liven it up a bit, but my family won't let me.
They say it will ruin the 'vintage look.'

I sighed and opened my newly bought MacBook, clicking on the YouTube button.

The webpage took a while to load due to my extremely slow internet, but it gradually got there.

My eyes lit up when a notification caught my eye:
Amazing Phil uploaded a new video

I quickly clicked on the notification and loaded the video.
I read the title which said, "Revealing the surprise."

I waited eagerly for the video to stop buffering, remembering that he had recently tweeted about announcing something.

The video finally played and I listened carefully to what he was saying.

As soon as the words, "I'll be meeting you guys at Summer in the city this year" left his mouth, I charged down the stairs calling my mums name.

"Mum! Jesus oh my god mum!" I yelled.
"What Daniel, I'm busy." She groaned, flicking through channels on the tv.
I rolled my eyes and carried on talking.

"Phil's meeting people in London this year, please can I go?" I begged.

She sighed and turned to face me, "London's miles away Dan."

"I-I know, but I'll get the train." I stuttered.
"Not on your own you won't." She scowled.

"B-but.." I whispered.

"If you go with a friend, I'll let you go." She told me.

I nodded quickly, running out the door and to PJs house.

We haven't talked in ages, and I wouldn't really say we're friends anymore but I know that he's still a good person.

I rapidly knocked on his door, feeling grateful he's my neighbour.

"Oh hi Dan." He muttered, opening the door.

"Hi Pj." I replied breathlessly.

"Uh can I help you?" He asked.

I nodded, "Yeah actually you can. Can I come in?" I asked.
He frowned but nodded, beckoning me in and closing the door behind him.
"So basically," I Started, "You know that Youtuber, AmazingPhil, he's doing a meet and greet in London for summer in the city in August and I really really wanna meet him." I explained.
"So?" Pj asked.
"But my mum will only let me go if I take a friend." I told him.
He shook his head, "Sorry, you know I'm not into that YouTube crap you like."
"Yeah I know, so I was thinking, maybe you could tell my mum that you were going with me but not go." I told him.

He sighed, "That's a shit idea Dan."
I groaned, "Please Pj, I really wanna see him."
"I don't know.." he muttered.
"Please, he's the only thing keeping me alive." I begged, my voice cracking towards the end of the sentence.

He stared at me for a while, frowning before rolling his eyes.

"Fine whatever, but if your mum finds out, I'm not taking any blame Okay?" He told me.
I grinned, "Okay, thank you so much." I squealed, hugging him tightly before leaving his house and sprinting back home.

I burst through the front door and ran over to my mum.
"PJ will go with me mum, can I please get the tickets before they sell out?" I told her excitedly.
She nodded waving a hand at me, "Yeah whatever." She grumbled.

I cheered and dashed up the stairs, opening my laptop lid back up and going to the Summer In The City webpage.

I scrolled through the long paragraphs about terms and conditions and clicked Book Ticket.

My lips stretched into a smile as I filled in my details and clicked the final Book.

I squeaked in excitement and lay down on my bed, trying to process what just happened.

I scrolled through my playlist on my phone, putting on starlight by Muse and stared at my ceiling, letting the music echo around my room.

I was meeting Phil Lester..
