Brianna P.O.V.

>>>End Of School

When my last class was over, I got up and left. Unlike the other Seniors who have all eight, maybe six class, I have four. Technically three, since the fourth one is a free prep.

The only reason I don't have so many class is because, I have finished getting all of my credits to graduate.  The classes I am taking now are just for fun. Cooking, art, photography, etc.

I went and changed into my Kmart uniform in the school bathroom. I walked from the school to Kmart. Working here is relatively easy.I put things on the self, clean up messes, and help anyone who needs it.

>>>End Of Work Day

Since its a Friday I got payed today. I went to Chase bank across the street.

I normally get paid 180 dollars. I keep 80 and buy things that we need and the rest goes towards the bills.

I stopped by a local grocery store and bought some things. I also went to good will and picked up a few items for my and my dad.

It was a ten minute walk back to the apartment from my house. When I got back home my dad was in the living room.

"Hello Daddy." I said kissing his cheek

"Hi princess. How was school?" my dad asked

He traced the bruise on my face, that Aiden gave me

"Same old same old. Nothing has changed." I told him

I removed my dad's hand from my face.

"I just don't understand why that boy dislikes you." My father Raymond said

"I don't either. Well I'm going to start dinner dad." I said walking to the kitchen

As I was cooking my mind kept difting to what my fanily was before my dead beat mother left. We were a loving and what I thought happy family.

My mother left her family for a man she barely knew. It happened the summer of my fifth grade year. Just before I started middle school.

My father turned to drugs for comfort. It's an on and off thing with him, he keeps trying to quit. I just wish I had the money to send him to rehab.

The rehab I want to send him to is expensive 10,000 a week. But its the best in the state. I'm only getting paid 100 a week. Their bills that need to get paid.

My father, drugie or not is still the loving and caring man he was before my mother left. At first he wouldn't even look at me because I resembled my mother, but after a of couple months he started to acknowledge me.

It seems like after my mother left things went bad for us.

I met Adien my first year of middle school. He called me names no 11 year old should know, gum in my hair, throwing his and other peoples lunch at me, and  he pushed me down the stairs. That all happened on the first day of school!

Things got worse, my so called friends wouldn't go anywhere near me because of Adien. The whole student body turned against me.

I don't hold grudes, but that doesn't mean I'll forget what you've done to me.

After all the abuse all I can do is the thing my father taught me. Smile. He said, and I quote; "They hope to see you with a frown on your face. They want to know what they crushed your spirit. Smile in their face, let them think you're okay even if your hurting inside "

Or as Tupac said; You gotta smile thru all the bullshit.

I've been doing it for eight years. I know it works because of what Adien did today.

Honestly, I could care less about him and everyone who has left broken and beaten.

I know I am going places my the scholarships offered to me. Not for sports, but academics. I got an amazing score on my SAT and ACT. The best in the city of Atlanta.

I plan on getting Ph.d, I want to major in Physical Therapy and Psychology.

The beeping of the oven pulled me out of my thoughts.

I put on some oven mitts and pulled out the chicken fingers. I put ten on me and my dad's plate. There was also mac and cheese, mash potatoes and gravy, with some broccoli.

I put the plates on the table. I went to the fridge and got out two bottles of water.

"Dad the food is ready."

My dad sat down at the table, we prayed, then ate.

Aiden's P.O.V.

I pulled up into the house at around 9 o clock. I had to stay after school for football and tutoring.

I got out of my black Adui, and headed inside. I smell dinner, a nigga hungry.

I entered the kitchen and saw my mom cooking.

"Hey ma." I said kissing her cheek

"Hey sweetie how was school."

"It was straight. Brianna kept getting on my nerves though."

I frown formed on my mother's face.

"Aiden give me one good reason you hate that girl so much. What did she ever do to you?" my mother asked me

"She was born. Honestly mom, you have to meet her. She is just the most irritating person I've ever met!"

"Did you ever take the time to get to know her? Aiden I've heard about that girl and how bright she is, and how she is going places. I've seen her picture in your year book. The girl is beautiful and smart. If I were you I wouldn't even bully her. I would go on my knees and beg for forgiveness cause she is your future boss."

"What is that suppose to mean?! You don't believe I am going places?!" I asked my mom angry

"With your grades, hell no! You want to the NBA or NFL, but your not a team player. Your good at the sports yes, but you need to work with your team. You won't be the leader in everything you do Aiden."

"Forget this" I said walking away

Why isn't anybody on my side?

I got into my car and drove off. I went to Star's house my baby always knows how to make me feel better. I got out of my car and entered her house.
