Chapter 28

Monica's P.O.V.

"Are you sure you don't know who attacked you ma'am?" The police officer asked me

"No sir, I can't remember." I lied

"We will still investigate-"

"No! I don't want to press charges, drop the case."

The policeman reluctantly agreed. They said goodbye, and left my room.

I heard him mumble something about an abusive boyfriend. He is sorta right, Brianna fights like a fucking man.

I removed the hospital gown and got dressed. Black short shorts, a red crop top, and my black eight inch loubs to top it off.

I pulled what was left of my weave up in a bun, and did my make-up.

I signed myself out of the hospital. I called my cousin Jacob to pick me up.

Brianna's P.O.V

I woke up in Carter's bed room with him and Angel sleeping next to me. I groaned and got out of bed.

I went to the bathroom and did my hygiene routine. I put on some spare clothes I had at Carter's house.

After yesterday we all just crashed over here.

I put on some black leggings with the sides showings, a black cropped tank, red flannel button up, and my velvet timbs. I put on my gold chain, and my rolex.

I went downstairs to start on breakfast.

While I was cooking I got a call from my baby. I answered the call.

"Hey baby."

"Wassup ma, how you doin'?"

"I'm good, just cooking breakfast. What about you?" I askee him

"Had to pick up my cousin from the hospital. Just dropped her off at home."

"Oh wow. What happened?" I asked him

"She was saying how she got jumped by some girls in an alley. She got fucked up."

"I'm sorry to hear about that."

"She probably deserved it, she always messing with the wrong people. But bae let's go out tonight."

"I can't I have to watch-"

"Please baby I never get to spend time with you. Please just tell the man to watch his own kid. I ain't trying to be rude either."

He has a point I spend more time with my ex and Angel, then I do my current man.

"Okay I'll talk to him today baby."

"Alright I gotta go."

"Bye bae." I said hanging uo the phone

"Who was that?"

I turned around it was Scarlet and Lour.

"No of ya business." I said

"Brianna who was it." Scarlet asked me

"Let me keep it hundred with you. I have been seeing someone for the past two months-"

"Why didn't you tell me!?"

"Because you want me to get back with Carter. That seems to be what everyone thinks is best for me. Even my dad and Aiden."

"If everyone thinks he is right for you then why not get back with him?" Lour asked me

"I'm young and want to live a little. Carter wants marriage and this crazy idea of me giving him six kids. Barefoot, sundress and pregnant cooking in the kitchen with kids surrounding me. He is a possessive jealous and crazy. Nothing about that is going to change. If I were to tell anyone that Carter would some how find out. Then go kill the man and me."

"Brianna-"

"I just want to be happy Scarlet! Why can't I have that judt beacuse Carter is my ex. Jacob makes me happy, god dammit! He shows me so much love and respect yet I have to keep him in the dark because I have possessive crazy ass ex boyfriend!  "

By the end of it I was breaking out in tears. Scarlet and Lour pulled me into their arms and gave me their shoulder to cry on.

Why can't I just be happy?
