Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Brianna's P.O.V.

>>>Two Weeks Later

I held up the flash card "What's six plus five Angel?" I asked her

"Um... eleven!"

"Correct, that's the last card." I told her setting the card in my hand down in the stack

Angle took the cards, and neatly tied it together. She stuck the things in her mint green and white Jansport backpack. Angel got out of the hospital bed and set the bag on a near by chair. Angel got into the small bed with me.

I pulled out the Mac laptop Carter got me, and went to netflix. I rented the Disney movie, The Princess Diaries.

So a lot had been happening this past few weeks.

I got a matched heart only after a couple days of being at the hospital. I'm going to have my surgery in a couple weeks. Their putting me on medicine and doing test. Explaining that I'll be at the hospital for a couple more weeks, two at most after the surgery.

It's being performed by the best heart surgeon doctor in the south, he flew out from Texas to work on me.

I'm keeping up with school just fine, Since I only have electives it's not that hard.

Speaking of school I found out that Dre and Aiden are related, their cousins. Of course Andre is making fun of me on social media, talkin' bout I hope she die. Dre cut Aiden off and doesn't even talk to him anymore because of that. Dre on the other hand has been real sweet stopping by the hospital. He gets me flowers and a small gift every couple days. Something to keep me busy.

He doesn't come by to much cause Carter doesn't like it. Carter's stubborn ass won't listen to me when I tell him were just friends.

Before it slips my mind Star is pregnant, rumors are going around that Aiden might not be the father, but that's their problem not mine.

I heard my room door open. It Carter he had some flowers and small gifts. The best thing of all Carter had food! I hated hospital food after the first try

'How are my pretty ladies doing? ' Carter asked kissing me and Angel on the forehead

"Good daddy, me and mommy practiced my math today." Angel said

"How are you feeling baby?" Carter asked

"I'm fine, just tired is all." I told him

I've been with Angel all day. She has been keeping me busy.

I remember the first day she saw me in the hospital bed with all the tubes and wires attached to me. She started to cry. Things have been better since then.

"Iight. Eat first then go to sleep." Carter told me. He handed me an Angel a take out tray of chinese food.

"I miss your cooking Mommy. Daddy keeps on burning things." Angel said biting into her egg roll

Carter held his hand over his heart "I am a great cook." he lied

Angel started to laugh "That's a good joke daddy!". I couldn't help but snicker a bit.

Carter threw a piece of shrimp from his stir fry at Angel. Angel some how managed to catch it in her mouth. She chewed on it mockingly in Carter's face.

Carter chuckled a bit "You been hanging around Ant and Jay to long."

We finished eating. We cracked some jokes and Carter talked about his day at work. When we were done eating; we all squeezed into the hospital bed. Angel fell asleep in between me and Carter.

I did a small giggle when I heard Angel's soft snores. The girl was more tired then me.

"I love you Brianna." Carter said unexpectedly

"I love you too." I said without a doubt

Though we have some problems were working on it. Carter is going to anger management classes, to help him a bit. If he is willing to work out his problems then so am I. What is a relationship without compromis.

I layed my head on Carter's chest. He kissed my forehead. I soon heard the sound of soft snores, I looked up and Carter was fast alseep. Well that was quick. I smiled softly.

This is my family, and I wouldn't trade them for the world

I think for the next chapter it will be about Brianna's surgery
