the bell finally rang for lunch. i decided i wasn't gonna eat today. i walked into the lunch room and looked for either, colby, jake or brennen. i saw brennen and walked over to him.

"hey lexi." he said as i sat down.

"sup." i smiled at him.

brennen and i talked for a while until colby and jake walked over laughing about something.

"hey lex." colby directed his attention to me. while him and jake sat down.

"sam, just one day, we sit here then you can go plant your ass back in your stupid chair." i heard aaron say as, him, sam, devyn, corey, and kat walked over to our table.

i looked over at colby and he looked annoyed. i know i'm pushing to hard for him and sam to get along, but i really hope it will work out in the end.

the 5 of them sat down at the table and nobody said anything for a while.

i sat there watching everyone. none of them looked like they were uncomfortable besides sam and colby. they would both look at each other once in a while, but nobody said anything.

"you all want to come over to my house after school tomorrow?" i asked

"that should be fun." kat said

"okay, but just us, sam," i turned towards sam, "you invite anyone else and i will kick you out."

"yeah, yeah i got it." he rolled his eyes at me.

last time i had people over, he invited like 20 other people.

"we all in?" i asked to everyone.

yeah and yes went around the table. except one person didn't say anything. colby.

the bell rang and everyone got up, going their separate ways. colby started to walk away from me but i softly grabbed his arm. "colby?"

he glared at me and ripped his arm away, walking away.

"what in the hell just happened?" devyn asked me while walking up from behind me.

"i don't know."

"he truly hates sam, and now that he has to see him outside of school, he's upset." jake said, now standing next to me.

"gosh, i just want them to get along, they don't have to hang out alone and be best friends, but at least they could stand each other." i said a little annoyed.

"sam has physically and mentally hurt colby. the kid hates his life because of sam. he tried to end his life because of how badly sam has treated him through school. he hates him, more than anything and anyone, and i'm only telling you this because he won't." jake said.

i felt anger inside me. "sam is such a fucking douche." i said, my knuckles were clenched.

"also, you can't tell colby i told you all that, he won't be happy with me." jake said and walked away.

i turned to devyn, "do i still have all them over?"

"yeah, it won't cure everything, but maybe sam and colby can show each other who they really are." devyn said, she was always smart, especially with guys. her and corey have been dating sense 7th grade.
