*Little quick note: Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for late updates, i'm such a slacker! Some things have been going on and i haven't had the chance to write as much. I'm sad to say, that there's probably about five or so chapters left, maybe a bit more, i'm not sure, i just know that the end will be approaching soon. BUT, if things go well with this story, i will probably start on a sequel, it just all depends :) thanks for the support and everything and if you like this chapter, don't forget to vote and comment! Hope you enjoy this chapter.

I am still driving down the dirt road, no signs of city lights and no sign of angry men either. I'm surprised that there isn't any cars hot on our trail. Or maybe there's people waiting at the end of this road.. wherever it leads to.

"Silvia. How's shadow?" I murmur, glancing in the mirror to see her rocking back and forth, her eyes blank. She snaps out of her trance before slowly glancing down to shadow.

"He's alive.." she whispers,lacking emotion.

"And?" I push. It is driving me nuts, it is as if we switched roles. She is  now the innocent scared girl and I the pushy, agitated, fearless woman. Honestly though, I know i shouldn't blame her. She just went through hell, and if she changed this much and that quickly, then it must of been bad.

"His breathing is shallow." She seems to choke it out before whimpering and backing away.

My eyes instantly snap to the passengers side floor to see something flash. A cellphone. With all this bad luck surrounding me constantly, this is a major relief. Finally, something good is happening!

I quickly slam on the breaks and bend down, snatching the cellphone and click the screen.

"Missed call." is flashing rapidly on the screen, telling me this is shadows phone. Why would he leave something that could hold private information on the floor? In case of danger, my eyes search the area, but I see no headlights or any suspicious figures. This will give me some time, maybe I can remember roman's number in my head, hopefully he will answer. Because honestly, I don't know where to go from here, it's hopeless driving around in an unknown area. I look at the reception bar, which shows one bar, but it is better than no connection. I ignore the missed call, thinking it's best not to go calling it back.

I quickly dial roman's number, praying that he's not having a meltdown. Ontop of this, i'll be dealing with roman.

"Who is this?!" I hear him harshly demand.

"It's roxanne!" my voice croaks out, hearing his voice is what I need to relax my nerves. I feel as if he is right by my side.

"Where are you?! Why the hell did you just leave me like this?!You have a lot of explai-" Roman begins on an angry banter but I quickly cut him off.

"Listen, I don't have time, I don't know where I am at! I have injured people and i'm lost!" I can't stop the tear that slips down my cheek.

"W-what?" Roman seems surprised and I can tell he will begin to panic if I don't end the call soon.

"I'll call you when I find the city i'm in, and whatever you do, do not be around ethlania." My voice turns bitter as I slam on the gas pedal and continue going down the road.

"Wait, what? What does she have to do with this?" He has that tone where he would get defensive.

"Trust me on this roman. Whatever you do, do not go around her until I explain everything. She.. she works with your dad." At that, I end the call, ignoring how the phone is buzzing rapidly. I have to focus on driving and get to the nearest city before shadow dies.
