Narrator's POV

Y/n woke up to someone holding her, and repeating "wake up..". She looked up at the person hugging her, and it was the Squip. "S-Squip?... what's wrong?.." She asked. Squip looked down at the tired girl and smiled brightly. "Thank god.. you're awake.." He hugged her tighter. But Y/n was still confused as to what was happening. The Squip was sitting on the floor with her in his arms, crying. "Squip.. really.. what happened?" Squip looked at her with a look of surprise on his face, how can she not remember?.. He thought. "You.. were having a nightmare.. but it was worse.. you could have-.." The Squip choked on his words. Y/n stood up and held out her hand to Squip. It was the same scene that had happened when they first met. Y/n sitting on the floor, and Squip holding out his hand to her. Squip took her hand, and Y/n helped him onto her bed, where they both sat.

-EARLIER THAT NIGHT-

Y/n's POV -6:46 pm-

Everything is dark and cold. Not even my blood can keep me decent. It's freezing, and I'm falling into a pit of nothingness. I don't know why, but when I'm falling, it makes me think of Squip. Did he ever have to go through this?.. Why am I seeing things this way? Did I do something.. or say something? Am I missing something?.. I think I'm ok, but I'm not sure.

My breathing becomes faster, and the air feels piled into a tight space. Like being buried alive. Just as I was about to let go, a voice comforted me, and gave me warmth. "It's going to be okay.. you're okay... I love you.." The voice gave love, and suddenly a light appeared. I reached out to the light slowly, and then..

I woke up.

Squip's POV -6:46 pm-

It had been about 5 and a half hours since I laid Y/n down on her bed. I was just checking through programs and coding, when Y/n shifted in her sleep. She was facing the wall, so I couldn't tell if she was uncomfortable or not. I continued scrolling through ones and zeros when I heard a faint cry. It was coming from Y/n..

I quickly rushed over to Y/n and turned her on her back. She had been crying in her sleep. I was devastated that I hadn't noticed this sooner. "Y/n.. wake up.." I whispered. I sat next to Y/n and cupped half of her face with my hand. She was crying very softly, and did not whimper as much as I thought she would be. "Y/n, please.. wake up!.." I whispered a bit louder, and she seemed to flinch when I said it.

Things were getting worse now. She started sobbing quietly and I was now holding her in my arms. She was curled up into a ball in my lap. I stood up from the bed, still carrying Y/n in my arms, begging her to wake up. I checked her heartbeat levels, and they were speeding up every minute. Seeing Y/n like this shattered my heart, and I couldn't bare it. I fell to the floor, still holding Y/n, and I couldn't help but stream tears down my face. I was so worried that Y/n could have a panic attack, or a heart attack, or anything that could hurt her.

I was practically sobbing at this point, begging for Y/n to wake up. "Please Y/n.. wake up.. I love you.." Closing my eyes, I thought of Y/n when she was happy. It made me smile, and it calmed me for some time, until I heard a voice. "S-Squip?.. what's wrong?.." I looked down to see Y/n, rubbing her eyes from tiredness, her face still red from crying. She was okay.. I thanked every god that there was that Y/n was okay.

-PRESENT TIME-

Y/n's POV

"So.. I was having a nightmare?.." I asked, curious as to what happened. "Yes. It seems as though you don't remember it at all. Can you recall any of it?" Squip asked. I didn't want to answer this question.. I didn't want to make Squip worry anymore tonight. "All I can really remember is darkness.. and.. cold..ness..". As me and Squip talked about my nightmare, it slowly was coming back. I started remembering the voice that comforted me, and I felt as though every time Squip spoke, a warmth was wrapped around me. He has something to do with this. I know he does.
