Error hid behind his mother figure (we gonna call ink, mommy. Since he's like a mother). Cross noticed and picked Error up quickly as smol children started to come their way wanting to see their new visitor.
A black skeleton, with the replication of Ink and Error, came close to Ink with a big smile on his face. "Hey mom, long time no see." (I'm not sure if PJ has parents in this AU so go with it) the caretaker said hugging his mom. "Hey, Paperjam, how's my big boy doing?" Ink teased. "Really mom, in front of these kids, I won't hear the end of it," Paperjam said posing dramatically. They laughed at him. "So, who do we have here?" he asked directing his attention to Error. "Hon, there's something I need to tell you." Ink said pulling PJ outside.
Cross felt Error grip onto his shirt like his life depended on it. "Hey, the kids here are harmless, I'm sure of it. You'll be fine." Cross assured and hugged Error tightly. Ink came back in with a sad PJ who stared at Error with a sorrowed look. "Hey dad, are you okay?" PJ asked poking Errors back.
Dad? Why did this grown man call him dad? When he older was he a father?
"Dad?" Error questioned. Ink whispered in Paperjam's nonexistent ear and smiled in understanding, but he wasn't happy. "Oh, you have a problem. That's okay, you're perfectly time here." Paperjam was content with his words bit his forced smile said otherwise. Cross handed Error to Paperjam who now had Errors face stuffed in his shirt. Error trusted adults, he grew up with adults not kids. The sound of the bell ringing alerted him that his caretakers had left. "So Error, meet your new friends," Paperjam said sitting crisscross on the floor. Error reluctantly turned around to be faced with many new faces. Children that weirdly looked exactly like his caretakers. He fixed his bows and wiped the wrinkles out of his dress. "This is Error, my dad, but he had a problem and now he's stuck like this. Be friendly to him, okay?" Paperjam explained. "He looks exactly like me." the look a like of him started at him hard.
'It... be... fine...'
A hug was felt around him. Who said that? "H-hi..." Ink told him it's rude not to introduce yourself to others. 'Mommy's always right.' Error thought. "Your dress is really pretty." Horror (he's back, as a child) complimented. Paperjam took this time to move away slowly to make snacks and let Error get to know the kids. "Hey, do you like drawing?" Ink asked shyly. "Kinda, but I'm not good at it." Error mumbled. He felt someone pull his arm yanking him forward but was pulled by someone else. "I should play with him first, I complimented him first." Horror stated. The opposing person yanked on Error pulling him into a hug. "He looks like him so I should play with him first." said his replicate (what should we call his look alike?). Error looked as though he was going to cry. He felt someone yank him and push him behind them. "He hasn't even met all of us yet and you two are already fighting over how he should play with, fools!" Classic started. Error already had tears in his eyes."See you made him cry." Classic pointed out hugging him. Error didn't like being yanked around, not to mention it was because of a fight. Not that too the scene, was Paperjam who was in concern with this situation. "I leave you alone for one minute and you already start problems, what happened?" he asked placing his hands on his hips. "Well..." Ink started but was interrupted. "Horror and Errors look-alike started fighting over Error. Classic broke it up." Geno was straightforward, he just plainly said it like he saw nothing wrong with it. Like this was a situation that involved fighting over a living being. Like what he saw happened all the time with newcomers. Like they always had new people. "Thank you Classic for breaking that up before someone got hurt, but one of you should have told me instead of putting it in your hands," Paperjam explained as he patted Classics head as a reward for his 'bravery'.
Error was clinging to Classic in his sleep. He found a child he could befriend. Paperjam smiled brightly. "Classic, I trust you to protect your new friend." Paperjam glanced at Error again, he was asleep.
It was nap time.
Paperjam put everyone to sleep quicker than he expected.

Error woke up with a small yawn and a wrinkled dress but he again wiped the wrinkles out. He rubbed his eyes looking around. "Oh, so that wasn't a bad dream." he looked over seeing shy little Ink playing with legos by himself. He took this time to get to know the younger and smaller version of his mother.
