Lost Cause: Growing up

Chapter 9

Author: Here we skip to several years later.

Having it been so so through his school years, he wasn't ready for high school. Especially with Ruru taking every chance he got to insulted or hurt Error. Error never said anything to his family though. Except for Nightmare because he listened and had been through so much since as far as he knew. Orbit and Error were cuddle buddies after dating. Although, Ink got momma bear on Error every time Orbit took Error out to eat.

Nightmare was had grown fond of most of the people in the house. Maybe even a small crush (NO ERRORMARE) on someone. "Come on Nightmare, we're going to be late." Dream shouted use the stairs. They had been planning to go to the water park. Error sat on the couch impatiently tapping his foot. He sat with swimming trunks on and small dark red bows wrapped around his wrists.

"Uncle Dream, I don't think he's coming, told me he wasn't. Said he was shy." Error explained boredom obvious shown on his face. He wanted to leave right now. Dream sighed before looking back up the stairs and headed towards the door. "Come on Error, let's go," he said smiling half-heartedly. Error sighed happily. "Finally," he said. He followed Dream outside the house and they went to Waterfall.

That was their water park since it was dangerous for Error to travel through portals. (The daycare was in Underswap. Deal with it.) However, the high school was in a different AU (That's why I said deal with it. There was gonna be a conflict somewhere.). It worried everyone. They could make those energy rings like they did the first time for Erry. But that took a lot.

Making it to the water park, Dream and Error waited for Classic and Kiki. "I'd expect them to be here already." Error said sitting down and kicking his feet in the water. He was going to high school tomorrow so this trip was is last free day to hang out with his friends. Correction, his only friends.

Kiki had taught him how to draw and he had become exceptionally well and because of that had grown fond of it. He was glad that a pencil was no longer his enemy. He every now and then would take his circle out and remind himself that he could draw when he wanted to give up on a project.

Classic taught him control. He learned to control himself when he wanted to punch Ruru in the face which, after entering the 7th grade, happened a lot. Error wasn't violent, but that didn't mean his limits couldn't be reached. Classic, having dealt with idiots before, knew how to control.

Error heard foot steps coming from the left side of the cave and hope grew inside of him. His hope deteriorated seeing as it was his mom and dad. He waved lazily at them and looked at the water silently talking to his reflection. "Classic and Kiki will be here in a couple minutes, Alphys is talking to them." His dad said updating them on the situation. Ink sat down beside Error and took his boots off. "So, " he took his boots off and put his feet in the water, " are you ready for high school?" he asked staring at his own reflection.

Error, in his head, screamed. In no way was he ready. Ruru was older then him, and even if it was by a couple of months, he was still using it as a way to say what he said goes. "Sure." he lied. His mom and dad knew nothing about the bullying. He'd knew what to keep to himself. Or at least, what he thought should be kept to himself. He glanced at Dream who studied him after hearing what he said. He knew it was a lie.

"We're here!"

Error looked over to see Kiki and Classic. Kiki smiling and beaming with happiness. Classic looked over at Error and rolled his eyes. "Hey, what took you so long?" he asked. Classic stretched his arms and sat the bag down. "You ready?" Error asked staring happily at them. Classic smirked and Kiki covered his face with his scarf. Classic and Error jumped in getting not only Ink wet but Dream, Blueberry, and Kiki. The glares only made them laugh more. "Come on mom, you need to chill. Like Big Bro." Error said. Ink looked over and sighed, Fresh had been around a lot more than he wanted and he'd annoy the heck out of people for whatever excuse he could think of.

"Come on Kiki, the waters nice." Classic lied. The water was freezing. He was freezing and with ease didn't shake. Kiki smiled nervously before jumping in and chills crawling up and down his spine. "I-it's f-freezing." he started shaking violently and wrapping his arms around himself. Classic, for some reason, wasn't affected by the water. Neither was Error. It was assumed that they were to busy laughing their nonexistent butts off to feel it. Error was for once happy, he half expected that. Since his friends were there. He was oddly desperate for attention. The first day of school was tomorrow and he knew the second he'd step foot in those doors he'd get targeted by Ruru and his gang. What he didn't know was all hell was about to break loose.

Author: That took so long! Sorry about that, I've had so many *annoying dog noise* ideas that I had to debate myself on what to use.

Author:Also, I'd love some ideas at this point because the book I had me losing interest but I feel very DETERMINED to finish it! I want to start with him going to school the next day and having it be awkward but I'm not sure how that would then out so some help would be greatly appreciated.
