Lost Cause: Growing up

Chapter 21

Error approached Luckys house holding his Uncle Horrors container, Error thought Horror should get out more. He hardly ever got out and saw things. He wished he wasn't the only one to get Horror out. Kiki, Classic, Orbit, and his family were behind him. His family had heard a lot of things about Lucky but have never met her. Kiki nodded and glanced over at Error who had a huge smile on his face. 'I hope this doesn't backfire.' He thought and he stepped back. The butler of the house opened the door and when he saw who it was he grinned and gave a hearty chuckled. "Master Error, oh am I happy to see you, your presence would lift Master Rose's spirits." He said before allowing them in. "Actually we were looking for her dad and her mother." Error stated. The butler closed the door before his face went pale. "Master James is not here but Master Ruby is here (Steven Universe was what I thought of)." He bowed and left going up the stairs. "Error, honey, you didn't tell me they were rich." Orbit stated. Kiki nodded and explained, "Oh, yes, Luckys parents are in the movie making industry so she's super rich."

Error sat Horrors container on the coffee table the downstairs living room and sat on the couch only to notice that across the hall was a smaller living room. "Error, Classic, Kiki, what are you doing here?" Error stood up to see Lucky in a dress decorated with small flowers on the rim and greening stitching crawling upwards and made to look like vines. She had to a big ribbon around her waist that tied into a large bow in the back. Her hair had been carefully decorated with flowers and pins. "Lucky, you look... flowery." Error failed to think up a pun. They were petalful one might even say😊 (sorry, not sorry). "Error, what are you doing here, if my dad sees you he's gonna kill you, my dad hates monsters." She said rushing towards the group of monsters. Her butler followed behind. "Rose, what is all- oh." Error looked over to see Luckys mother, Ruby. Her mother had on red lipstick and eyeliner. Her curly hair had been pulled back tightly and had a flower pin in it. Her dress was knee length and had a pattern of yellow and blue flowers on the rim. She had small flowers on her shoulders and green ribbon around her waist that had leaves stitched to it. Classic wondered why they were wearing plants. "Mom, oh, um-"

"Master Ruby, this is Error Master Roses friend, he wanted to talk to you." The butler explained. Ruby stared at Error and then smiled softly before slowly stepping over to him. "What is it you would like to talk about?" She asked. "Why do you and James hate monsters?" He asked. She stared at him blankly before smiling and then giggling. "I don't hate monsters, I work with monsters at the studio, but my husband, on the other hand, hates monsters." She explained, "He told me that a monster killed his brother when they were rehearsing for a movie. The moon hanging from the ceiling, one of the wires broke causing the other to break and kill him." She covered her mouth. "Why does he hate monsters though?" He asked. She turned away from him. "A report was later filed stating a monster, wanted revenge on James so he cut the wires but instead killed Michael." She forced a smile. "However, I would like to know why you have a cake and party supplies." She asked. She didn't look like she cried at all. "Did she actually care or just acting? She did work in a studio meant for making movies. "Oh, we wanted to throw a party for your husband to change his mind on things, but it seems like that will be a bit more challenging." Error said turning his head to the side. "Why are you dress like a garden?" Classic asked oblivious to how rude he had said that. "Oh, mom and I were planning on going to the flower dance for mother and daughter. They have it every year." Lucky said smiling. Error also smiled, he had longed to see her smile. "So, I guess we should leave t-"

"Nonsense, we can stay home this year, help you with the decorations. My husband always did have a soft side when it came to parties. " Ruby interrupted. Error stated blankly, they were going to skip their family time to help them. Error sighed before starting to give instructions, he was the master of party making. However, distractions happened (wink wink), he had to reluctantly tell Orbit to work in another room. That didn't stop Orbit from popping in from... back to on topic.

They were almost done and all they had was call James. "John," Ruby said, "call James please." The butler smiled brightly before taking out his flip phone and calling James.

"Master James... yes, I understand you're busy... no, but Master Ruby needs you here now... what no she's not pregnant... wait... please she's needs you sir... yes, goodbye."

He hung up and looked over to Ruby who had a big smile on her face. "Master Ruby, are you pregnant?" He asked. "It's twins." She said excitedly. She had grown a bit in weight but knowing Luckys family the bulter, John, thought she had had gotten sick of her diet. He had tears in his eyes, more kids meant he had something to do. Oh, this was wonderful.  "You mean, I'm going to be a big sister?" Lucky asked. Ruby nodded happily. Lucky was going to be a big sister, finally she had younger siblings. She had always wanted siblings.

Error was beyond mad at himself. They should be throwing a party for both husband and wife. Two parties needed to be thrown and he was all out of time. "Orbit, I need cake materials in the kitchen. We are having two parties in this household and there is no one who will say otherwise." He said loudly with his hands on his hips. Orbit rolled his eyes and had the butler lead him the kitchen. "That's your boyfriend!" Classic shouted teasingly making Orbit turn around with a face flushed in stars and dark blue. Blue laughed at his younger counterpart. It wasn't hard to get Orbit flushes in the face but when he was flushed it was priceless.

"Honey, I'm home." James said loudly and happily. He looked around and his face immediately turned to disgust. "What are you doing in my house around my family?" He asked glaring daggers at Error. "I-I came to say I'm sorry, if I had known... I wanted to make it up to you so, uh, SURPRISE!" He said nervously. James looking around at the decorations hanging about and party material stroon (not a real word, it's my word) about. Lucky stood in front of Error protectively.

"Give him a chance dad, for my sake."

"*Sigh* fine."

There we go. My mom and younger brother helped me out with the chapter. I hope you liked it peeps. It took a long while with the lack of ideas I have. Not to mention school shopping. Schools in two weeks and I can't wait to see the sign saying 'Welcome to Hell, get ready to get dunked on.'
