Ink: *rainbow faced* Let me go! Now!
Author: Nope, you are gonna sit here and read along with everyone else.
Ink: So I'm gonna read by myself.
____________
Error was standing in front of Fresh glaring at the man. That man would not quit following them. "What do you want?" Error asked, again, standing in front of his younger brother. "I'm wondering where your parents are. Do you have parents?" the man asked. Error felt his brother pick at his sleeve. "Where they are is none of your business." Error sounded braver then he actually was. Sure, he could tear this man limb from limb with his strings but that wouldn't make a good impression for his brother.
Fresh had the idea of how to get out of this mess and blurted out, "I-I hear our mom and dad calling. Bye! Come on Error." Fresh said pulling his brother towards him so that they could leave. Error swore he heard that man growl before they left but left it at that and said nothing about. "That was close." Fresh stated half smiling.
"You know we don't have parents, right?"
_____________
Error shot up off the bed to feel someone shaking him. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." Error looked around remembering where he was. He was at Lucky's house. "Its okay, I just had a really strange dream was all." he said. "Has my dad gotten here yet?" he asked. Lucky shook her frowning. "Can you call them?" she asked. Error pulled his phone out and sighed. Looking through his contacts, he saw his mom first and called him.
"Hello Error."
"Hey, where are you, you were suppose to pick me up a hour ago?"
"Oh, Blueberry said he'd do it."
"Welp, he must have forgot. Can you pick me up?"
"Yeah, where are you?"
"Hi this is Lucky, Errors friend, the house is 154 Crown Dr. (that is not a real place, do not look for it.Even if it is do not go looking for it please.)."
"Okay, see you soon."
Error took the phone back and stuffed it in his pocket. "How long was I out?" he asked. "Only a couple of minutes. You must've been exhausted from school." Lucky stated. She sounded so smart to him and so elegant. Almost like a princess from a movie. "Do you want anything?" she asked. "No, I'm fine," he said. "I'm sorry." Error stated. Lucky sat down and gave a confused look. "About what?" she sounded so in innocent. "For telling you to stay away from me. I just didn't want you to get hurt because of me," he admitted smiling sadly. "It's okay, you're just looking out for me," she assured. He looked over at her before seeing her smile beaming. "How about we have a start over, hi, I'm Error and it is nice to meet you." Error said smiling and holding his hand out. She giggled. "Hi, Rose Damon but you can call me Lucky." she shook his hand. He wondered why she would be called Lucky, it sounded nothing like Rose. "Why?" he asked. "Apparently, when people are around me something good happens, but I rather not get surrounded by people asking for money, autographs, and other things," she said. He didn't think she was a movie star or something. "Why would I want your autograph, is your mom, a superstar or something?" he asked. "My dad is a movie star and my mom is a director." she stated. "Oh, I'm gonna guess you don't see them enough then." he assumed getting her to nod.
Her butler opened the door and said, "Errors mother is here miss." the two teens hugged and said goodbye before he left.
"So, who was that?" Ink asked.
'Girl... Friend...'
Error growled lowly at the voice. It didn't usually tease but when it did it was almost like he heard it laughing at its on teasing. Then again, he was only making up what the laugh would sound like. "Nothing, just a new student." Error stated stuffing his hands in his pockets. "So, how was school?" Ink asked another question. "It was okay." He lied. This was his way of saying 'Yeah, getting beat up at school is the best thing in the world, I wouldn't have it any other way'. Ink sighed pulling uncomfortably at his scarf. There was an awkward silence between the two. "What happened to your eye socket?" Ink asked causing Errors soul to stop for a second. "I, uh, was walking up the stairs and missed the step." He lied again. "That's strike one." Ink stared bluntly. "Fine, I got in a fight." He said partly lying. He wouldn't really call it a fight because he hadn't fought back and only one punch was thrown. "Who'd you get in a fight with?!" Ink asked worriedly. "It doesn't matter who I got in a fight with, what matters is that I'm not in pain, kay mom?" Error said sternly. Ink stared straight in Error's eyes wondering what was going on inside his kids head. "Can we just get home, I'm tired and I just want to sleep?" He asked. Ink sighed slicing the ground with a color he didn't pay attention to. Error jumped on it and went right through before running over to his house and rushing up the stairs and locking his door.
'I'm... here...'
Error sighed covering himself up with the blanket. How much he wanted to cry right now was unbearable. He knew he couldn't though, tough guys didn't cry. Then again he wasn't a tough guy so he let it out silently. "Hey kid, open up." He heard Carrot on the other side. "Go away." He said and turned away from the door.
At this point only Fresh would make his day better. He hadn't heard a thing from him in so long it was scary not to know what he was doing right now.
Error covered his mouth and shut his eyes tightly. He wanted everything to end, wish he had never been found or even born. Better yet, be the villain he was before, when there were no rules, no parents, not someone watching your every move because their scared you'll stub your toe or miraculously get a high fever. He could go back, everything would be perfect.
'No... bad... life... then...'
He listened knowing this voice was his friend.
What was he going to choose?
