Stiles' POV

"Wait... You know Sas?" I ask Derek. What the hell?

"Yeah, we're... Very well... Aquatinted." He says, looking distracted and weird.

"How? I mean cool, you friends?" I say. For some reason this seems very awkward... I really hope this isn't going to be a problem... Wouldn't want to ruin the romantic weekend.

"Yeah, something like that." Sas says, looking at Derek kinda like he's her prey. "So what'll it be?" She finally asks me, breaking the intense eye contact she was holding with Derek.

"Two cheese and tomato toasties, please." I say, somewhat absent mindedly. I've never really liked Sas, but she never got that, so I'm kinda stuck with her, especially since she's pretty much the only person my age in this whole goddamn town! So I guess we're close, even though she really pisses me off.

"Coming right up." She says to me, then turns to Derek "say, Der-bear, would you mind helping me a sec, we have things to catch up on." She says Der-bear with such hatred, that she kinda takes me by surprise and I don't really want him to go with her. What if she steals him from me?!

Now I'm being ridiculous! We're not even going out, I have no right to be jealous. He can do what he wants. Or who I guess.

"Sure, but just one sec. You go ahead, I'll be right behind." Derek says to Sas or 'Sassy' as he says. She walks away, after shooting me a weird look.

"What's wrong?" Derek asks me. Is it really that obvious?

"Nothing, it's... I'm fine... All good. How are you?"

"I'm fine Stiles. You don't mind me talking to her do you. We have some things to discuss." Ok now I'm really curious. Play it cool, Stilinski.

"No, sure, go ahead, go have fun, be safe, don't make her spit in our food." I say. Derek shoots me a weird look, but I guess he doesn't really care so he gets up and walks into the back to look for Sas.

What am I supposed to do now? Just wait here for them? Maybe a little eavesdropping can't hurt...

I sneak up to the door and put my ear to it, praying Derek doesn't sense me here. I hear some muffled words, then I start to make out the words. Sas is speaking...

"Now, Derek, bad dog..." What the hell? A dog joke? Who the hell is she to him? What does she know? I put my ear back to the door and concentrate on the words again.

Derek's POV

I was hoping Stiles would say I shouldn't go, for some reason so I wouldn't have to talk to her. I really don't want to talk to her. But he didn't. So I put on my blank face and look for Sassy.

I walk into the back room of the cafe, the kitchen, and see her leaning against the counter, looking at me intensely. She just the same as she used to, albeit a bit older. Her long brown hair is up in a messy bun and she is covering her light brown eyes with glasses I know she doesn't really need. She could be considered attractive, she certainly looks like a model, but to me, she just looks like pure evil. I remember I did find her attractive at one point, but looking at her now, I have no idea how. She's a cold hearted bitch inside and out, and that completely ruins her look. Apparently, no one told her though because she's standing there, posing. It's repulsive.

"You're looking good." She says to me.

"You still look like a psychotic bitch." I said.

"Now, Derek, bad dog. Where are your manners?" She says, looking at me with what seems to be an attempt at innocence. I'd doesn't work.
