You can just assume its Stiles' POV, can't you?
We're still sitting in a tree. We're still holding hands. Derek's thumb is still absent mindedly rubbing my hand. I'm talking about random things, my mouth running ahead of my mouth, Derek nodding and adding input here and there.
"... On the sand for the first time." My mind catches up with my words as Derek snorts and starts choking and coughing. Oops.
"Jesus Stiles!" He says through is dying spasm as he try's to regain control over his breathing.
"What did I say?" I ask, genuinely not able to remember what I said. He just shakes his head and laughs awkwardly. "Genuinely, my mouth was moving and my mind was like 3 seconds behind then it went on to other things. All I remember is something about first times on sands? I need to know what I said if I'm going to be smart and make a smooth recovery from it."
"It's ok Stiles, we can just move on..." Derek says and I glare at him.
"Fine. You should no longer be allowed to call me sourwolf." I say, pleading he'll accept.
"No way, I won the race fair and square." He says cockily.
"Hardly 'fair and square'! You used your super powers!" I say.
"You never said I couldn't!" He retorts. Im just about to stick my tongue out at him and argue more when he sticks one finger up at me in a shh sign and glances sharply left.
"Don't you shh me! I ain't no sourwolf!" I sass
"Shh Sti- sourwolf. I hear something."
"What? Is it people? Is it Ma and dad? Is it the man coming back? Is it Sas? Is it a hedgehog colony coming to steal back Alfred? What do you hear?!"
"Well I can't tell if I can't hear it, can I?" He snaps and I zip my mouth shut. He nods at me in an acknowledging gesture, but I've just got accustomed to his weird care-bear shit. He turns his head and cocks it, presumably for best listening qualities. He sits like that for maybe 20 seconds before saying
"It's ok, it's just your dad and grandma."

Oh look! A chapter that doesn't end on a shitfest! I know my chapters are getting shorter, but they're pretty frequent right now so... It's ok, right?
They will be getting longer again soon, after I chase away all this fluff....>_<
