The ocean has grown sense last winter
I remember I could still see your faceStaring bashfully at the ground
absently playing with the snow at your feet
Hands behind your back
As if you were tied in that positionThe waves between us could do nothing
To break the bond we had once felt
They were but ripples in my peripheral vision
For my eyes were trained on youThe ocean has grown sense last winter
I can no longer see your faceI see but a fast fading figure
Reaching out towards the snowflakes
As if getting closer to the edge
Will allow me to see youBut the waves have become more violent
Thrashing agitated and aggressive towards the cold
What were ripples are now swells of might
I can't help but lose my sight.....
The ocean has grown sense last winter
Or maybe the ground had departedFor now there is but fog
Covering the sea and ground beneath
I no longer hear the ocean's roar
Or the harsh wind's blowMaybe if I inch a little closer
I'll realize the ocean has sense left
Maybe if I reach a little farther
I'll be able to feel your soft handsMaybe if I
