By all means, this day isn't about me. What people need to understand is, that rape is not the women's fault because of their outfit. It is the men's who takes that and rapes them. It's my uncle who molested me when I was 9 years old in the back of his van. It's my mother who always told me not to get in a white van with a stranger, never telling me not to get in one with my uncle. It's my father who left me when I was 6 and came back for a month when I was 12, raping me multiple times drunk out of his mind. Its a random guy raping me at a party in the upstairs bathroom, and that was just a few weeks ago. I am a victim of sexual assault. It is not my fault.
