Carter's POV
Show time
"Bailey are you ready to go back to the room?" I whisper into the blonde's ear, who is currently sitting on my lap on the stairs of the pool.
She nods and stands up. I stand with her, nodding to the rest of the boys, telling them it's time. They all nod back as I climb out I the pool, following Bailey over to the chairs.
"So what are we going to do with the rest of the evening?" Bailey smirks, while slowly wrapping a towel around her body.
"I have a few things in mind." I smirk back, but want to throw up in my mouth. I don't ever want to have that with her, again. That was a mistake, one I wish I could take back.
I dry myself off a bit before wrapping a towel on the bottom half of me, and grabbing my phone, ready for all this to be over.
"Ready?" Bailey chirps. I look at her, towel wrapped tightly around her small frame, hair wild from the water. She is pretty... maybe I should keep her around? But what about Violet? "Take a picture, babe, it lasts longer." She winks and links her arm into mine.
"Uh yeah. Let's go." I lead us out of the pool area and into the cool air of the hallway of the hotel. We walk into the elevator without a word, until the doors close.
Bailey turns towards me, wrapping her tiny arms around my torso.
"I know I've been a bitch, but Carter, I wanted to say thank you for still sticking with me." She smiles sweetly up at me and I swear all of the air in my lungs goes running away and hide in a bush. "You mean so much to me, and I just want you. Out of anything in the world, I want you." She continues her little confession and I feel as though I might faint. I stare down into those big brown eyes and the wind is knocked back out of me.
The elevator dings and we reach our floor. Bailey quickly kisses my cheek and takes my hand, lacing our fingers and leading us towards our room.
I'm still in shock. I wasn't expecting that, at all. I had this big idea to bring Bailey down, to make her feel like nothing. After all, that's what she did to Violet. But after this... I don't think I can do that to her. She can be so sweet. That's how I ended up in bed with her the first time. She was so understanding and listened to everything I said. Bailey is someone special... just in her own way.
I can't do this to her.
I can't.
"Babe. You haven't said anything since we left the pool. Are you okay?" she stops in front of the door looking at me with expectant eyes.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine." I croak. She frowns but doesn't push. She tauntingly puts her hand in the pockets of my shorts to pull out the key and to tease me obviously.
Bailey unlocks the door, letting us in. I set my phone on the dresser and sit on the bed. I rub my temples in aggravation. I'm supposed to text Cameron right now to have him send security but I can't find myself doing it. I know Bailey has put everyone through hell, but she can be so sweet. When you give her a chance.
"Babe, you're freaking me out. You haven't said that much since we left..." Bailey kneels down in front of me and takes my hands away from my face and into her smaller ones. "Talk to me, please." the plea in her eyes made me want to break down, but I couldn't.
"I'm fine, baby." I try to convince (more of myself than her). She stands taller on her knees and places a light kiss to my cheek.
"I'm always here for you, Carter. I know I might not seem like it, but I am. And.. I... nevermind." She stands to her feet and begins to walk away but I grab her wrist.
