It was not a basement.

Well, not a normal basement.

When I walked down the stairs to the underground I was shocked to see glowing white walls. It was bigger than I expected, seemed like it might go under the whole house and more.

Cautiously, I walk along the hallway. White doors with pristine silver handles all around me. My footsteps echo through the underground room, making me sweat with each step. I didn't want someone to hear me and come running, but it seemed pretty empty down here. It felt like I'd walked for a long time but I knew it was just because I was lost, wandering around aimlessly. I had no idea where I was.

The sound of clicking perked my ears and I turned my head the way of the sound. The door in front of me had noise coming from it, and it was slightly ajar. Someone was inside.

I knew I shouldn't go to the door, a person seeing me was bad, I knew that much. But I was a very curious person, and I thought about the records that that Taehyung boy had left to go through. Maybe, just maybe, it was him inside, hacking his way to my information.

I crept closer to the door and the clicking got louder, someone was definitely typing. Pushing the door open a bit more I saw him, sitting in front of several computers typing away. His back was to me so I entered the room, knowing he couldn't see me. His hands worked fast, typing furiously, as if his life depended on it. Maybe it did. I don't know why but I didn't feel nervous with him, he didn't scare me like the others. Maybe that's why I decided to speak.

"Isn't that a lot of code for a lousy birth certificate?"

Taehyung jumped up from his seat, holding his chest and breathing hard. He looked at me with wide eyes, maybe, he was afraid of me. He looked around, as if looking for an escape, so I walked over and closed the door, trapping him.

"W-what do you want?" He stuttered. He picked up his lamp and held it front of himself as if it were a shield to protect him. As if that would stop me.

"Just exploring," I shrug and look at his computer. "Seriously this is a lot-"

"You're not here to hurt me?" Taehyung cut me off, slowly lowering the lamp back to the desk. I looked at him a moment in curiosity, then I started to laugh. "Hey," he pouted as I held my stomach from laughing so hard.

"I'm sorry," I compose myself. "It's just if I wanted to hurt you, I would've already," I shrug and sit down in his swivel chair. Taehyung opens his mouth to say something but closes it immediately, frowning at me. "What?"

"Why do they call you Indigo?" Taehyung asks suddenly. "They told me years ago but..." he trails off, embarrassed.

"Because it's the last color they see before they die," I watch as Taehyung turns pale. He backs away from me, eyes wide in fear at my words. "I'm just messing with you, oh my gosh you're too easy," I laugh at his reaction. "It's my eyes dude."

"Can you stop that?" Taehyung's voice cracks, making me laugh even more. "I don't know to believe you or not."

"I've never killed a person in my life," I look at the computer screen. "You're not about to be the first one."

"What? That makes no sense?" Taehyung shakes his head. "We've been tracking you for years, all our guys, except us, end up dead." Taehyung pulls the swivel chair away from the desk so I'm facing him. He looks me up and down, studying me as I do the same with him.

He really was a beautiful man. He had strong features, and he seemed like a nice guy, a trustworthy guy. And when he wasn't cowering to me, he had an air of confidence about him I liked. Too bad we're on opposite sides.
