I was alone when I woke up. My head hurt and my throat was sore, but I knew why.

Not seeing Jungkook anywhere in the room I could only imagine where he was. The chains that were previously on his wrists now grace mine; I was trapped.

I felt stupid for taking my time. I should have said nothing to Jungkook and gotten him out. A reunion could have waited till we were safe. Now I could only hope we got out of this.

Maybe the others weren't caught.

It was a wishful thought, but it gave me hope. Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung and Yoongi didn't follow me past the trap and into this room. What if they somehow snuck away before Luke saw them. I was clinging onto that 'what if.'

Suddenly the door opened and a beam of light entered the room, temporarily blinding me and making me groan. I was yanked up to my feet and I glared at who I knew was standing above me.

"Sorry," Luke laughs. "I forgot how fragile you are." I glare at him as he continues to laugh. He had all the reasons to be in a good mood. He was winning, I was losing; I would be laughing at him too if it was the other way around.

"No comeback?" He quirks an eyebrow as he starts to walk me to the door. "Not so brave without your boyfriend now are you?" He gets up in my face. I tried to stay calm with his taunting, but at the mention of Jungkook I snapped.

"Did you just spit on me?" Luke jumped back in disgust and wiped his face. I stayed where I was, smirking slightly. He looked like he was about to kill me, and honestly I was just waiting for him to do it.

Thats what he wants isn't it? To kill me?

"Move it," He growls, grabbing my arm again and pushing me forward. I reluctantly walk, just wanting to be out of the dark room.

My eyes have to adjust to the lighting in the main room when I enter. Luke makes me stop and walks in front of me to lead the way through the trapped room.

Once out of that room he stops me, letting me look around. We're in the dining room, but there's no table. I remember the big brown table from when I was a child. Where had it gone?

"Looking for so something?" Luke catches my attention. "We moves the table Ara, needed more room for the activities."

Activities.

The way he said that word made every hair on my body stand up on end. I could only imagine what he had in store for me.

"Bring the stupid one in," Luke snaps his fingers at a man standing by the entrance. I watch him leave and come back in a moment later with none other than Jungkook; even more bruises on his face.

"What did you do to him?" I glare at Luke. Jungkook won't meet my eyes, like he's scared.

"Me? No he brought this upon himself," Luke chuckles, pointing to his face. "He freaked out when you passed out and decided to try and attack me. Stupid of him really."

"Jungkook-"

"If he looks at you," Luke cuts me off. "He knows that I'll hurt you." He was enjoying this way too much, and it only made me angrier.

Suddenly he pushes Jungkook to his knees and puts a blade against his neck. I lunge forward but am suddenly held back by two pairs of strong arms.

"Don't even try it Ara," Luke laughs evilly. "I'm not gonna kill him," he shrugs, making Jungkook glare at him. "I just wanna have a bit of fun."

With no warning Luke moves his knife to slice down Jungkook's shirt, making him cry out as the fabric split in two and blood started to seep from the thin cut along his chest. I closed my eyes and looked away from his bare chest, unable to look at the shallow yet surely painful wound.

"Stop it," I grit my teeth, still looking away from them. I hear Jungkook cry out again and snap my head forward to see yet another slash across his chest. Only this one is deeper, and bleeding much more.

"Stop it!" I yell and pull against my captors arms to no avail. Luke just laughed harder at my attempts, making a sick feeling appear in my stomach.

What if it's not me he wants to kill?

"What's the matter Ara? I'm not hurting you am I?" Luke walks away from Jungkook and walking over to me, the bloody knife still in his hands. I freeze as the now slightly warm surface of the knife touches my cheek. "I could hurt you," Luke whispers in my ear. My heart speeds up at his words as fear overtakes me; but then he pulls the knife away my cheek and takes a step back. I can feel Jungkook blood from the knife on my skin.

"It seems this hurts you more though," Luke shrugs before turning around and dragging his knife over Jungkook's chest again, making him scream. I feel tears sting my eyes as he continues his torture. He was right, this hurt so much more.

"Please stop hurting him," I try and keep my voice strong but I wavers ever so slightly. "Hurt me, you wanna hurt me, not him. Your problem is with me."

"But this is hurting you Ara," Luke stops his movements around Jungkook's abdomen, giving him a chance to catch his breath. "Maybe you need a little more," He cocks his head to the side.

Luke snaps his fingers and the same guy who brought Jungkook in, leaves the room. I rack my brain for anything or anyone that could come back in and ruin me even more, but nothing comes to mind when my mind is so jumbled.

It's only when that man returns with two people I tow that my heart basically stops, and I know I've lost.

"Our meeting went well today," Luke boasts, laughing at Namjoon and Jin, who are standing in the corner. Namjoon looks fine, not a scratch on him it seems. Jin's not so lucky. His face looks like a boxer went to town on it, and from the way he's walking he must've been hit several other places too.

Luke pushes Jin to the side, making him run into the wall and fall to the ground in pain. He looks at me with pained eyes. He's given up.

When Luke grabs Namjoon I lunge forward again, but like before I'm held back, tighter this time it seems.

I watch as he pushes him to his knees next to Jungkook. Then he finally looks at me. I expected a scared look, a sad one, even an angry one. But he smiled.

He smiled.

All his teeth shining brilliantly even in the low lightly. His eyes squinted and his dimples appeared. He was smiling, even in this moment, he was being stronger than I could ever be.

"It's good to see you Ara," He nods at me, his smile still amazing me. "I love you. Know I'll understand," he says suddenly, and a flash of sadness appears in his eyes.

That's when I know he knows something I don't. Something bad.

"Awh, isn't that sweet," Luke chuckles darkly. "What a nice family."

"What do you want Luke?" I growl at him, wanting this game to be over with.

"I want you to choose," He smirks, pulling something from his pocket. My throat runs dry when I realize it's a pistol. I watch as he loads and readies it before looking at me expectantly.

"One gets to live," Luke shrugs. "One gets to die," he starts to laugh again.

"It's your choice Ara, choose wisely."

Well it's been a minute hasn't it?! I miss yall! I also miss writing this!

School is kicking my ass Rn I gotta tell ya. It's my first year with any AP's and I have two and I cant even imagine having any more than that.

The end of the chapter is a bombshell huh? What do you think Ara will do? Will she chose? And if so who?

I'm sorry there's not a ton of action but this chapter is necessary and I hope you still like it :)

Thank you all so much for 71k, I look back at my first chapters and see how I was thanking you for like 200 reads and I cry, thank you all❤️
