Finally, Love

Rick's Loft

After a few weeks living in the Castle household, Kate started to become a very close friend. She bonded extremely well with Alexis. All three had days out together; Kate felt like she belonged with them. Like they were her family. The adults always have a movie and snacks night before and after Alexis has gone to bed, where they spend hours of just talking. Kate absolutely loves it. Baby Amelia loves it too because she is kicking her mother 24/7. Poor Kate.

"Ugh, Amelia, please stop that hurts." Kate exclaimed as she rubbed her hand over her bump where her unborn daughter just kicked her. Amelia sent another kick to her mother, a sharp one, knocking Kate breathless.

"Kate, you okay there? Amelia still kicking the daylights out of you?" Rick teased playfully. Kate glared at him as Rick gulped.

"Yeah," Kate answered breathlessly. Rick softly chuckled

"Why is she kicking you uncontrollably and hard?" He asked.

"I don't know, ask her." Kate joked. But Rick leaned forward towards Kate's bump.

"Hey there little girl, don't worry I'm not your daddy, but I'm a friend of your mother's. And your precious mother here has requested me to ask you a question. Are you ready?" Kate winced as she felt a hard kick. "Okay, no need to kick your mother so hard. She needs her body to protect you and make you grow big and strong. So please, Princess, take it easy on your mother. Okay?" Amelia kicked again, but this time not as hard. Kates eyes widen with tears.

"Oh my god! She didn't kicked me hard! She heard you!" Kate exclaimed excitedly. She jumped and hugged Rick, landing in him lap with her arms wrapped his neck.

"Well this is just a breathtaking view." Rick smiled charmingly. Kate smiled back. She blushed once she understood what he meant, she hid her face in his neck. Breathing his scent in. Kate laid her head on his shoulder and slowly fell asleep.

Rick was oblivious to what was happening before him. He was watching TV when he heard steady breathing. He turned to see that Kate had fell asleep in his lap. He smiled at the beautiful scene. Kate looked so beautiful and precious when she slept. It pained him to see her go through all this stress because of her boy- ex-boyfriend's cowardiness. He wants to make sure that Kate has a safe pregnancy, well she only has a few more months left then Amelia is here. Honestly, he actually can't wait to see Kate's baby girl. He has a feeling inside him that he can't shake off, it's excitement. How can I be excited about a baby that isn't even mine? He thought. But he's going to make sure this pregnancy is one of the best Kate will ever experience. He is going to help her, she has no one as far as he knows. Well maybe she has her friends, but still.

Rick carefully moved to pick Kate up and carry her to the guest room she is currently staying in. He lays her in the bed and tucks her in. He kisses her forehead and exits the room. But not before he admires the beauty who is sleeping before him. He smiles and leaves the room to make some lunch. After he makes lunch he puts Kate's on a plate, covers it up and leaves it on the counter for when she awakes. He then goes and watches some TV.

The door bursts open and in runs Alexis. "Daddy!" She yells happily.

"Shhh pumpkin, Kate is sleeping in the guest bedroom." Rick told her and she nodded.

"Sorry daddy." Alexis apologises. "I made something for Kate." She gave what she had in her hands to her father. Rick examed it.

"What is it, baby?" Rick asked.

"It's us. As a family." Alexis elaborated. "That you, me and her." She pointed to a young stick person with long red hair and blue eyes, a tall stick person with crazy brown hair and blue eyes and a medium average stick person with long brown hair and brown-green eyes.
