Kate wakes at 9am the next morning to her alarm. She sits up in bed, throws her legs over the edge of the bed, stands up and stretches all her aching muscles. She grabs her clothes and heads to the bathroom for her morning shower. She has her shower, wraps a towel around herself and hair and does her girly things. She gets dress and drys her hair with the towel, then curls her hair. She looks at herself in the mirror and being satisfied with her looks, she exits t bedroom and heads up to the kitchen where she can smell food cooking.
"Good morning Kate!" Yelled a overly-excited Alexis. Kate giggled. She jump off her stool and ran to Kate. "Good morning, Amelia." The little girl placed her hand on Kates stomach. She smiled up at the woman when she felt a slight kick.
"Good morning, Alexis. And Amelia is awake and wants some food. Also someone's in a happy mood. What's the occasion?" Kate asked, looking at Alexis, who has gone back to her stool.
"There's no reason. I just woke up happy. And now I get daddy's special happy pancakes!" Alexis squealed. Rick placed some pancakes on a plate and set in in front of Alexis. She literally dug in.
"Wants some Kate?" Rick asked. Kate nodded and sat down next to Alexis on the stool to her right. "What are your plans for today, Kate?" He asked as he poured in some pancake mix into the pan.
"Shopping. With Lanie. Need an outfit for tonight, remember. A casual outfit." Kate smiled up at him.
"Oh me and Kate are going on a date." Replied Rick as he flipped the pancake.
"Can I come?!" Alexis asked excitedly.
"What? On our date?" Rick asked shockly. Alexis nodded smiling. "I'm sorry pumpkin. You can't come with us. It's a date." Alexis looks down at her lap. Tears sprung in her eyes. Kate had an idea!
"Rick?" Rick looked at Kate. "If Alexis can't come on the date with us, can I take her shopping for a dress instead? She can help me with choosing the perfect dress for my date with some lucky guy." Rick smiled.
"Yeah, she can if she really wants to go." Rick looked at his daughter who automatically jumped nearly 3ft into the air.
"OH MY GOD! SERIOUSLY?! THANK YOU DADDY! THANK YOOOOOU!" Alexis screamed as she ran to hug her father. She then ran off to get ready.
"Well someone's a happy little girl today." Kate giggled at her own comment. Rick chuckled with her.
-•-•- Alexis and Kate and walk around the shopping mall going in and out of many shops. But haven't found the dress for Kate's date.
"We'll never find a dress for my date!" Kate sighed.
"We will, Kate, we will." Alexis encouraged. Kate smiled and they carried on looking. They walked into a dress shop and looked around.
"Oh my god! Alexis look!" Kate squealed excitedly. Kate picked up a dress of the rack.
"It's very pretty, Kate, try it on!" And so Kate whet to try on the dress in the changing rooms. She soon walked out in an elegant mid-length black lace dress.
