Reliable with the LADIES (Hamilton)

Chapter 3

(That's Aaren's, Thalia's, and Jamie's room btw. It's mentioned at the end but I thought I'd make it clearer. Cool bye! -Eliza)

Peggy

I brought Thalia to my room to give her some clothes to change into. We stepped into the large yellow room and I walked over to my closet to find some clothes of her size. She was a lot taller then me, maybe by a head.

As I rummaged through my clothes Thalia sat down on my double bed, accessorized with a daisy patterned duvet.

I kicked a soccer ball that rested at my feet at the door to close it so no one could eavesdrop on our conversation, especially Jamie.

"Any luck with Jamie?" I asked Thalia still searching my closet.

"No. I mean, who am I kidding? Why would she ever like me? She's had boyfriends, she's never expressed any likings about girls! I'm hopeless and helpless." Thalia answered as she fell back on my bed.

"Have some confidence! Keep up your pursuit of happiness! You're a really nice girl, if she can't see that she doesn't deserve you! And who knows, maybe she just doesn't want to muck up your friendship? Why don't you ask her?" I said.

Thalia has liked Jamie for two years. Jamie didn't openly express her feelings, she was afraid of rejection. She had social anxiety.

Jamie had hinted multiple times she liked Thalia, same vice versa, but they were oblivious.

Thalia sighed. I threw the clothes I had found over my shoulder and I knew I had hit Thalia when she let out a small "Oof!"

I put my clothes back up on the hangers as Thalia changed behind me. I turned around when I was done to see her in a pair of cropped mom jeans and a yellow-and-white stripped shirt. That would have to do. It was pretty flattering to her shape though. It was in dire need of an accessory so I rushed to my dresser and fished around my jewelry box. I found a dark iron necklace with a rose pendant. It complimented the outfit perfectly but I wasn't done.

I grabbed Thalia's arm and dragged her into my bathroom. I had worked at a makeup store not too long ago and they had given me so many makeup samples that I have basically every shade of everything. I didn't wear much myself, maybe mascara if I was feeling fancy.

I knew Thalia would look amazing with some makeup on. I brushed out her hair and held it back with a headband. I put on concealer, foundation, a pop of eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, highlights, bronzer, and blush. She looked fantastic! Jamie wouldn't know what hit her.

I heard a knock on the door and I opened it to see Eli.

"You guys have been up here for 15 minutes! We're going to the smoothie shop. Laf and Alex haven't been yet and they need to taste Chocolate Chunk Monkey!" He said.

"Alright, we'll be right down!" I responded. I motioned for Thalia to stand up. We had finished just in time.

We followed Eli downstairs and everyone was at the door ready to leave. They looked up as we walked down the stairs.

"Ladies and gentleman, introducing Miss Thalia Jefferson!" I announced to the group as Thalia rounded the corner into sight.

I watched Jamie's face express complete and utter shock at just how beautiful Thalia looked. I smiled. 'My work here is done!' I thought as a made my way down the last few steps and slipped on my yellow converse. (Basic Biotch hehe I love her that way tho)

We filtered out two by two, me last, right behind Jamie and Thalia. I could hear Jamie quietly complementing Thalia. This is great!

Jamie

Thalia looked gorgeous! Her skin tone worked really nicely with the yellow.

"You look really nice." I mumbled to Thalia, my face burning up. I glanced back at Peggy and she gave me the thumbs up which made my face even redder, if that was possible at this point.

"Thanks," Thalia said "You don't look half bad yourself!" She jokes elbowing me playfully. That's how it always was. She thought of me as a friend.

But you're so much more to me.

We arrived at the smoothie shop within a couple minutes of brisk conversation. We took our seats around a large circular table by the window. Ani and Eli both came here frequently together during their first year of collage. They were a year ahead of us.

The boys gave us suggestions as to what to get. Theo and I (A/N I never mentioned but the boy with the pigtails in the last chapter was Theo) went up with the Schuylers to order and carry the smoothies.

As Eli and Ani ordered, I watched Thalia back at our table. She was joking with Laf in French. I sighed. Even if she wasn't straight, she would definitely get together with Laf, they had so much in common. All I know how to count to 60 in french, and say the basics with a horrible accent. Not exactly half-French girlfriend material.

I looked back to the counter as our smoothies arrived. I picked up two of the freezing drinks. The condensation on the thin plastic cups made it difficult to hold but we managed to make it to the table and sorted out who got what.

I took my place beside Thalia and Peggy and sipped my raspberry and banana smoothie. It was delicious.

Soon we all found it hard to suck it through the straw so Thalia sprang up and ran up to the counter and asked for spoons. you could buy frozen yoghurt here too so they ended up having some for us.

We talked for a bit before we had all finished our smoothies. Soon we were heading out to finish unpacking and get ready for tomorrow. We decided to meet back here for tomorrow after class.

Thalia, Aaren, and I headed back to our dorm. We were lucky we only had to share with each other as most dorms had 4 people in them. Thalia kept telling us I'd be perfect for sleepovers but Aaren and I disagreed.

We were a couple floors up from Joan, Alex, Herc, and Lafayette. Thalia unlocked the door with her key and we walked into our communal bedroom. Thalia had her bed set up against the left wall if the rectangle room. I had my bed in the middle separated from the other beds on each side by dressers.

Thalia insisted we put on music as we unpacked. We all had very different styles of music. Thalia liked more rap and she was the best out of us three at rapping by far. I liked more classical music, and Aaren never could pick a genre. Aaren and Thalia fought over which songs to listen to, which was fine with me. It didn't bother me much.

An hour later we all were done for the night and wanted to relax. We sat down on our couch and watched a movie for a bit. Soon we were all drowsy as we plopped into our beds and fell asleep.

A/N

hellllooooo everybody! So Alex and I have exams like in a week so we might not be back until July... Sorry! But I might try to have a chapter ready for the 24 or 25... but that's right after my exams end so maybe not?? Who knows

now we see if Alex will edit it in a reasonable amount of time, eh? Lol. I hoped you liked the chapter, it's just a short one for now because I want to get one up soon (Hey alex? *Nudge, nudge, wink wink*)

RUDE IM STUDYING UNLIKE YOU!!! ANYWAYS, yeah I was kinda putting it off lol. But the important thing is that it for done. We also have not finished exams and only had our first one today so that sucks... I might edit the next chapter and post that too so be expecting it. I like procrastinating way too much... ANYWAYS, BYYEEE!!
