Nala just got back to the café when she noticed a table overflowing with books. She doesn't want to make it a big deal so she just pretended that it was okay. She just went to her room to change.
Just as Nala went down the stairs, a loud noise was heard. Aunt Josie wasn't around so Nala rushed down. She was shocked to see lots of books scattered on the floor and a student standing amidst all the books, one she recognized as the student council president.
She immediately helped him picking up all the books and stacking them in an organized manner on a sturdier table.
She placed the last books on the top of the other books. "There. All done."
"Thank you so much," the student council president said.
"I'm a happy helper." She smiled at him making the student antsy. "My name is Nala." She offered her hand.
He took her hand and shook it. "I'm Touru," he said as he fixed the position of his eyeglasses.
"You have tons of books." Nala was hoping to stir up a conversation.
"Yeah. I have to finish researching all of these. Thanks for your help. I should get back to my work," he said as he sat back down. "Can you please give me a hot cup of tea? Thank you."
Not wanting to disturb him, Nala quietly went back to the counter to make him a cup of tea.
