Studying with Nerd Senpai

The preliminary exam is slowly crawling towards Nala. She has to pass the exam with flying colors to maintain her scholarship. She was determined to do so, for her continuous studies depend on it. Lucky for her, the café is not crowded as usual. It had been hectic ever since she worked there, but now, it isn't. It seems that all their patrons are busy reviewing as well.

She took the peaceful opportunity to grab a cup of tea and take a seat on her favorite spot to study.

An hour passed when a customer came in - Izumi-senpai.

"Welcome, senpai." Nala stood up to greet him.

"Lucky! I was hoping that no one is around so I can review peacefully," Izumi-senpai said.

"Would you want some tea to sip on?" Nala asked.

Izumi-senpai looked at the books laid on the table. "But you're also reviewing. Wouldn't it be a bother?"

Nala shook her head. "Nah. I've been reviewing for an hour. Making a cup of tea for you would be relaxing."

Izumi-senpai smiled. "Okay. I'll have the usual. And oh, may I seat beside you? I can help you review some things you may have trouble with."

"Yeah. Sure, senpai. I wouldn't say no to an opportunity to learn. Arigatou," Nala replied as she walked to the counter.

After making a cup of tea for Izumi-senpai, she grabbed some biscuits to go with it.

"These biscuits will be on the house if you explain this to me," Nala said as she placed the biscuit and pointed on a Math problem.

Izumi-senpai laughed. "No problem. This will be as easy as a, b, c."

Nala spent the next hour reviewing with Izumi-senpai. She was amazed on how he easily explain even the hardest Math problems. She knew that with his help she'll definitely pass the preliminary exams.

On the other hand, Izumi was so glad that he can study with Nala. He doesn't know why but studying with her makes studying much, much enjoyable than usual.
