Amber's Favorite Cap

Pairing: Krystal/Amber

One-shot

Synopsis: Krystal accidentally ruins Amber's favorite cap. How will Amber react? [Short fluffy Kryber].

Amber's favorite cap

"Oh my god this isn't happening." Krystal panics as she realizes that she's accidentally placed Amber's favorite cap (the first one the girl bought in Korea) in the laundry together with her other clothes. Now that the laundry has dried, the cap's color is now faded, a far shade from the original look.

The door to their apartment opens, and Amber enters with Chinese take-out.

"Krys? Where are you?"

Krystal rushes out from their laundry room and nervously greets Amber.

"Hey! Hey babe!" She gives Amber a sloppy kiss because of the nerves.

"Hey, why do you look so tense? Are you doing something dirty in there while I'm gone?" Amber teasingly asks and winks.

She expects Krystal to playfully roll her eyes at her but instead, the other girl suddenly sobs and starts to cry. This makes Amber drop the take-out and rushes to her girlfriend's side and hugs her.

"Hey Hey Krys talk to me. What's wrong?" She wipes the tears on her girlfriend's cheek and smiles at her. "You know you could always say what you want to say."

"You'll be really mad at me." Krystal sniffs and sobs.

"You know I'll never be mad at you. Come on let's sit down and I'll clean this mess up." Amber points to the food mess on the floor.

Once they're on the sofa, Krystal nervously plays with the other girl's hand and her eyes remain downcast.

"Krystal."

"I ruined your cap." She says the words so fast that Amber doesn't understand any of it.

"What?"

"I ruined your cap." Krystal chances a look at her girlfriend and sees that she isn't mad.

"Why aren't you mad?" She's really confused right now because Amber loves that cap very much. Most of the time (if not always), she always brings it with her for good luck charm.

"Why would I be mad?" Amber just smiles at her and this makes Krystal more perplexed.

"Are you just pretending to not be mad because if you really are, just be mad at me." At this point, Krystal is on the brink of tears again.

"No babe, I'm not mad." She pinches the other girl's cheeks and wipes her tears again. "You can stop crying now."

"But I just told you, Amber, I ruined your favorite cap. Your first cap here in Korea. Your good luck charm. If you see it now, you're probably be horrified by the hideous color it's become."

"And I just told you it's okay, okay? It's just a cap."

"No, it's not okay! That cap is really important to you—"

Rolling her eyes, Amber stops her girlfriend by kissing her. Moments later, she pulls back and laughs.

"Stop Krys, it's honestly okay. I know that you know it's important to me. But right now you are more important to me, probably the most important thing in my life now. Yeah, it's my good luck charm, but you are my best luck charm okay?...Now I'm just being cheesy so, okay? It's totally fine."

This makes Krystal feel relieved but her girlfriend's words makes her flush, too.

"You are a smooth talker, you know that Amber Liu?"

"Yeah and you are a crybaby." This earns Amber a smack on the arm and this starts a wrestling/make out session on the couch.

"Now we have nothing to eat." Krystal says minutes later.

"Let's just go out. I'll take you out on a date."

"And I'll buy you a cap." Krystal adds, still sounding apologetic.

"It's okay if you don't. But if you want, I'll really be glad."

"Why? I probably won't find an exact replica of your old one."

"Yeah. But I'll definitely love it cause you're the one who chose it for me." She pulls the other girl up and they go out of the apartment. Once they're out, Krystal murmurs to herself:

"Smooth talking llama."
