Finding the time to meet seemed way too easy for Magnus, and a lot harder for Alec. Football club and drama club ran at the same time, so they would never be able to meet after school on a Tuesday, yet whenever Magnus would ask to meet, Alec would be busy. It made Magnus feel a lot less popular than he was, and realised that Alec did a lot more.

Magnus texted Alec, asking if he could meet tomorrow, as almost a week had gone by and they hadn't done much for the decorations. Alec said he couldn't tomorrow as he had a school musical to act in, the lead role, as he pointed out, but he could meet now, if Magnus was free. Magnus agreed, asking if they could meet at Alec's house, as he was bored of staying at his house.

Collecting his things, Magnus put Alec's address into his phone and began to walk. It wasn't a long journey, and he hadn't passed his driver's test yet. He got there quicker than he thought, Isabelle opening the door with a polite smile. "Wrong twin," She said with a small laugh, saying that she'd show him to Alec's room, which he shared with Jace.

Isabelle directed him to the room, Magnus thanking her before she slipped into her room to leave them to do their work. Alec turned to look at Magnus when he entered, greeting him with a large grin. "Welcome to my crib," Alec said, throwing his arms out.

Magnus' eyes curiously scanned the room, seeing two beds, and a clear divide in the room judging by the posters and things stuck on the wall. Jace's side was defined by multiple posters of 90s rock bands and dirty clothes thrown around, looking like an landfill compared to Alec's side. Everything was neat and clean, with a bookshelf filled to the brim with books, with a few posters of classic movies, such as The Shining and Scream

"Your room is so much more interesting than mine," Magnus said, his eyes staying glued to the movie posters as he sat down on Alec's bed, Alec sat on his desk chair. Alec smiled, "Do you have any siblings?" Alec's words snapped Magnus out of his trance, looking at Alec and saying, "Nope, just me. Just me and my mom, actually."

Alec wanted to ask more about it, but didn't want to pry at the same time. He then apologised for not being able to meet sooner, Magnus saying it was fine and that he didn't want him to throw away his social life to make decorations for prom, to which Alec laughed at and thanked him.

"What decorations did you wanna start on today?" Alec asked, spinning around in his chair, Magnus watching him spin himself dizzy in amusement. Magnus replied, "Maybe the Hollywood sign? That's going to take the longest, so we might as well start it as early as we can." Alec agreed, asking what Magnus thought they could make it out of.

Magnus thought for a second, "If we want to make it look really realistic, we could make hollow letters with cardboard and glue so it's 3D, then attach them all together." Alec said that was a great idea with a smile, rushing off in excitement to go get some strong cardboard. Magnus felt triumphed with his idea, figuring that as Alec would be gone for a minute, he could properly look around his room.

The first thing that caught his eye was the book on the nightstand, which he noticed had bright colours on the cover, picking it up and flipping it over, reading the synopsis. He then put it down when his eyes laid on the drawers in the nightstand, looking behind him to see if anyone was coming, before tugging at the drawer handle, slowly opening it.

Magnus saw stacks and stacks of girls magazines, and as he picked them up he noticed they were all turned to the columns where girls asked about sex. He skimmed through the text, seeing that lots of them were about how to have sex, comfortable positions, etc. There were some cut-out articles of girls writing in to magazines to ask when the right time to have sex was.

Basically, Magnus was informed that Alec was a virgin and he was obsessed with losing it. Not in the sense that he was desperate to lose it, but he was clearly scared. Magnus suddenly felt incredibly invasive, putting the magazines back in the drawer, sitting back on the bed.
