Alec squinted his closed eyes as he felt a bright light hit his face, opening them, putting a hand out in front of him to block the sun from damaging his eyes. He almost tried to hit his alarm clock on his bedside table, like he usually does, then realising that he wasn't in his house. He looked down, seeing a light brown arm wrapped around his waist from behind.
He smiled to himself, remembering what happened last night. Alec craned his neck gently, seeing that Magnus was still asleep, looking cute when he slept. He whipped his head to the door when he heard approaching footsteps up the hallway, feeling panic settle in his chest. Alec shook Magnus roughly, trying to wake him up.
"Magnus, I think your mom's coming in." Alec whispered loudly, Magnus screwing his face up, groaning that he didn't want to get up yet. He suddenly registered what Alec had said, now hearing the footsteps, his eyes shooting open, stumbling out of bed. He rushed to the door, his mother opening it at the same time as he reached the doorway.
She smiled at him, Magnus returning it, using the door to block her view of Alec, wondering how he was going to get out of this one. "I know that I didn't ask you, but, um, Alec stayed over last night." Magnus stuttered, deciding to be truthful with her, Alec hiding under the covers, never wanting to show his face ever again, feeling his face heat.
"Oh, I already know. When I came back last night I came in to check on you," Ru said with a smile, Magnus feeling the embarrassment grow. Magnus nodded, keeping his lips pressed together, his mother saying that she was going to make breakfast if either of them wanted it, leaving with an amused look.
Magnus turned to look at Alec, seeing the same mortified look on his face. "I'm honestly debating leaving here with a blanket over my face," Alec said seriously, making Magnus laugh and turn away, glad that his mother was talking it so well. Magnus said that he could bring breakfast in if he was hungry, Alec thinking for a second.
"Maybe I should go, before my mom finds out that I stayed at a boy's house and never lets me leave the house again." Alec said, feeling like he had overstayed his visit, moving his legs so that his feet hit the carpeted floor. Magnus walked back over to the bed, sitting down next to Alec. He said, "That's fine, but I hope that we can meet again before school on Monday."
Alec smiled warmly, pulling his shirt over his head that had been thrown on the floor, standing up and putting on the rest of his clothes. "Of course we can, as long as you bring more condoms." Alec said flatly, making Magnus laugh and put a hand over his mouth, wondering where this dirty side of Alec had been.
"I was just that good, huh?" Magnus said smugly, making Alec turn around, now fully dressed. Alec leaned in, giving him a quick peck, "I have nothing to compare it to, so you could be awful." The two of them laughed, Magnus offering to walk him out, Alec saying that it would be less mortifying to walk there by himself, without the half-naked chaperone.
Magnus said goodbye, Alec leaving with a smile, glad that the kitchen wasn't on his journey. He got home with a smile on his face, shutting the front door behind him, almost jumping out of his skin when he turned around and saw his mother staring back at him. "Hi," Alec said in a confused tone, seeing that she looked ready to argue.
Alec looked up as he heard someone come down the stairs, his face dropping as he saw Maia in her pyjamas, looking back at his angry mother. "Oh, shit." Alec cursed quietly, trying to run for the living room, his mother gripping his school backpack, stopping him from going anywhere.
"Explain," Maryse said, making Alec sit down on the sofa. Jace and Max watched in amusement as they shovelled cereal into their mouths, Alec glaring at them. "Magnus wanted to finish the decorations for prom, so I said I would stay." Alec lied, giving Jace a cold look when he burst out laughing, shaking his head as his eyes stayed glued to the TV.
