The weekend rolled around faster than Alec thought it would, glad that he had Justin's party to look forward to tonight. He used to be good friends with him, but they just grew apart. They always acknowledged each other in the halls, and Justin went to see the school musical with his friends, telling Alec that he was amazing in it.

There was actually a point where they almost dated, when they were around fifteen and Justin wasn't sure on his sexuality. He knows now that he's gay, although he didn't back then. Justin was Alec's first proper crush, as was Alec to Justin. They kissed a few times and went on many dates, but decided to keep it friends to avoid heartbreak. Alec was glad that he could help him find himself, as Alec had known that he was gay from twelve, if not before that.

Alec's experience with guys was pretty limited; he had kissed some guys at parties, and obviously the situation with Justin, but he had never gone any further than that. He had been offered it by a few people, but he just felt like it wasn't the right time. He was scared that because he didn't know them that well that it would be awful and he would never be able to redo his first time.

He didn't want his first time to be with someone who had never done it before, because then they would both be clueless, but he didn't want to do it with someone who had an incredible amount of experience because then he would feel like he was being compared to all of the others. It was just a weird topic for him.

Jace entered their room, seeing Alec lying face-down on his bed. "Alec, come on! We have to leave in twenty minutes for the party." Jace said, walking over and poking Alec in the back, Alec groaning and rolling over. He sat up with a grumpy expression, saying that he looked terrible, pointing to a small spot on his hairline that Jace had to squint to even see.

"Don't be so ridiculous, Alec. Get changed. Everyone else already is," Jace said, rolling his eyes and pulling Alec off of the bed, walking him towards the closet. Jace reached inside, grabbing a nice shirt with a green floral pattern on and jeans, hitting them against Alec's chest, telling him to put it on before leaving.

Alec sighed, pulling his clothes off. He had been excited for this party all week, although now that it was here he was feeling really tired and just wanted to sleep. He put the clothes on, looking in the mirror. He looked good, better than he thought he would. He fixed his hair and sprayed some cologne, coughing and screwing his face up as he accidentally sprayed it too close to his mouth.

"Alec, we're leaving!" Isabelle yelled from downstairs, Alec grabbing his phone and rushing down the stairs, trying not to trip and fall. Justin lived a couple of blocks over, so he and his friends decided to walk there together from the Lightwood's household, as they lived the closest.

When they arrived on the street, it was extremely clear which house was Justin's; loud music could be heard from down the street and teenagers were walking in and out of it every couple of seconds. Alec spotted Magnus from afar, seeing him walking in with his friends, laughing loudly at something that one of them said, Alec smiling to himself.

"Okay, game plan. Are we hooking up with people because school is almost over or are we keeping it innocent?" Maia said, all of her friends thinking for a second before Jace replied, "Definitely hook up. Everyone should aim to at least kiss someone, if you don't then you're paying for the next KFC trip."

Alec gasped, "That's so much harder for me! Finding the same-sex to kiss is ten times harder than finding the opposite sex, I think that I should get an advantage somehow." All of them laughed lightly, Simon saying, "I think that lots of people will want to kiss you, it doesn't have to be a boy just because you're gay. You'll be drunk, Alec. Just peck a girl and try not to throw up on her."

Everyone laughed loudly, beginning to walk over, Alec flipping him off. "Fine, I don't need an advantage. I'm going to hook up with a guy and you're all going to be very embarrassed with yourselves." They all entered, the music getting louder, the party atmosphere engulfing them.
