I Can't Do The One-Two Step

Jack's Pov

"I might get fired." Alex said nonchalantly when I came back to his house.

"What, why?" I asked in a panicked voice. Maybe Mr.Lane knew about Alex and I.

"Everyone in my class is failing."

"Oh." I let out a sigh of relief, "What are you going to do about that?"

"Nothing." Alex said staring at nothing.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I'm going to quit my job." He said finally making eye contact with me. "I'm going to start a band, and you're joining it too."

"Alex you can't just quit your job." I told him.

"Yes I can! Mr. Lane hates me, he'll be more than happy to let me quit." Alex hopped off the couch and into my arms. "Think about it Jack," He spun me, "You and me, on a stage living our dream!"

"Ugh you're crazy." I smiled at the boy I am ever so lucky to call my boyfriend.

"I know." He shot me a goofy smile before pecking my lips.

For the weekend Alex and I started working on the band. We were just lacking a few members. Alex said there are these two guys in his class that he's friends with and they can play drums and bass.

I was sitting outside for lunch with Rubi and Matt waiting for Lauren, she said she had something important to tell us. After what felt like for ever the short girl swayed towards us. Something was up I could tell.

"Hey Lau-"

"I'm dating a girl!" Lauren cut me off shouting at us.

"What?" Rubi asked.

"I have a girlfriend her name is Sydney and she is very pretty." she sat down next to Matt. We both looked at Matt with our eyes blown while he took a bite of his sandwich.

"Oh yea I knew about this." he said calmly.

"I am so confused." I stated.

"Like this has been going on for three months maybe?" Lauren looked at Matt and he nodded. "Sydney is cuter than Matt."

"Hey!" Matt shouted and we all laughed.

At the end of the day everyone was stood outside the school. I was making them all wait for Alex, but Lauren had gone missing too. Before anyone could get to worried she came skipping over to us hand in hand with a short girl who had long brown hair and blonde highlights. She had the biggest smile on her face as she got closer to us.

"Hey guys this is Sydney!" Lauren introduced us to the girl who gave us a shy smile. "Aye don't be a shy loser these are my best friends nothing to be scared of." She elbowed the girl. Sydney shot her an annoyed look. "Okay that's Matt, you know him, That's Rubi she's cool. And there's Jack he's the bae we're waiting for his boyfriend." Lauren made a gagging noise

All five us made conversation waiting for Alex. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"Guess who." Alex whispered.

"Alex, you can't do this someone can see!"

"I don't care I don't work here anymore." He smiled

"You quit?" I asked.

"Finally." Lauren mumbled under her breathe.

"Yup who wants pizza?" He asked changing the topic.

"I do!" Four hand rose in the air.

Well this week has been strange...a good strange. I'm actually looking forward to the futrue for once.

Okay so I've been on an Echosmith kick lately, hence Sydney.

OH MY GOD SYDNEY SIEROTA IS SO PRETTY I CAN'T.

You should really listen to Echosmith.

Also all of Jack's friends are going to start not appearing in the chapters cause now I'm focusing on the making of All Time Low and all that jazz but anywho
