Chapter 23.

I hugged Will tightly, crying as I did. "I'm going to miss you so so much," I said as I sniffled.

"I'm going to miss you also. You're the only one who I will ever love and remember from here," Will promised and I cried more.

His grandparents hugged me also and told me that Will talked about me often when they last have seen him. Even at his mother's funeral. They were very lovely people.

"Hopefully, after you get released. You, Will, and of course us, can get in touch." Wilma, his grandmother said as she kissed each side of my cheeks.

"Thank you for taking care of grand-baby for us when we couldn't through these years," His grandfather said when he shook my hand and gave me a hug also. "You seem like a very respectful, responsible young woman." I thanked him and hugged him one more time. Even though I barley knew Will's grandparents.

They got into their highly expensive vehicle and Will walked towards me one more time. He kissed the tip of my nose. "It was a privilege of being your very first kiss, Geraldine." I wiped my tears from my eyes and face.

"Be careful out there, Will." I said. Will nodded and hugged me one last time. This time squeezing me.

"Goodbye Will," I waved to him as he walked backwards to the vehicle.

"No goodbyes, Gigi. We'll see each other again," I nodded and wiped a tear that had fallen.

Will got into the car. I watched it drive off as Will waved out of the window.

"Goodbye Will!" Elvira shouted.

The car turned the corner and the gates closed. Will was officially out in the world. He was free. He could breathe. He could wear what he wants to now. He can go places. He walk to different places. He go and learn for his education now. Will will meet other people. Have new friends. Will had freedom now, now that he was past those gates and not trapped inside of this old madhouse.

"Oh don't cry now." I cried into Elvira's chest.

"My best friend is gone now. He's free and going far away from me," I balled as she hugged me and her fingertips brushed me hair.

"Yes. That must be hard," Elvira cooed softly into my ear.

I was thankful that Mr. Reservoir let Elvira and I say our goodbyes to Will. Also let us stand in the front yard past the front doors. Boy, I was going to miss Will. Those six days went by fast. I spent each day with some time with Will. Promising, laughing, talking, having some sad moments, joking.

"We better get inside now," Elvira said as she lead us inside. I wiped my eyes and face. I inhaled and exhaled. I thanked Mr. Reservoir for letting us say our words to Will and his grandparents.

I don't understand though. It was morning and they couldn't have picked him up during the evening? I sighed and an apologetic smile towards Zayn.

"He'll live more happy now." I nodded as I hugged Zayn.

"I know," I breathed catching my breathe.

I sighed and felt a bit empty now. I walked to my room and plopped onto it. I was so bored now. I didn't want to read anymore. I didn't want to draw, or swing, or talk, or eat, or sleep, I didn't want to repeat what I usually do.

"Bored?" I nodded at his question.

"Funny. I've been mostly bored ever since I got here," Zayn replied.

"Yes. I could tell,"

"Hey Gigi?"

"What?" I replied blankly.
