"I didn't want you to treat me differently because of my follower count" he stated while shrugging his shoulders. "you know I wouldn't do that" I said kinda frowning. "I know you wouldn't but I'm not gonna just be like 'hey I have 50k followers on my instagram wanna we friends?" He said sarcastically and laughed. "Yea I guess" I said letting out a light giggle. "How do u like LA so far?" "I like it here, it's way more exiting than Pennsylvania. But, I kinda miss Susquehanna and my friends." "Understandable, but if u didn't come here you wouldn't have met me in person"I stated "Yea and that reason I am happy I moved here."he said cracking a smile, god he's adorable. "So what else do u do in your free time besides dancing?" Jack asked "Well I'm on the girls basketball team at the school but that's only in the winter." I answered. "What about you?" "I also play basketball I was on my schools team back in Pennsylvania, and plan on trying out this year. I also sing in my free time and post videos on YouTube and stuff like that." "You're gonna have to sing for me at some point since you got the see me dance, it's only fair" I flashed a smile. As we finished our food and drinks we paid and went out to jacks truck. After awhile of driving I noticed we passed my street. "Jack you just passed my street." "I know I wanna show you something" he said calmly "Is this where you kill me ? Gosh my parents always told me not to meet up with strangers from the internet." I said tensing up "Chill I'm, Not gonna kill you." He laughed which made me loosen up a little "Well that's good I guess." I said We arrived at the destination and saw it was an arcade. Me being the childish girl ran in front of Jack and into the arcade running and giving the woman at the counter a $20 in exchange for tokens. The first thing I went to was the basketball hoops while Jack was trailing behind, he got his tokens and caught up with me. "I challenge you, whoever loses has to buy the other ice cream."I proposed. "You're on." He said squinting his eyes playfully at me. We put in the tokens and the timer started and we began shooting. First shot *swish*. second shot hit the rim and bounced off. Third fourth and fifth shots went in aswell. I kept shooting jack and I were tied at 19 we each had 1 more ball left so it was pretty intense. I put my hand in the perfect formation as did Jack and I shot it. Mine flew through the air and *swish* Jacks flew through the air and rolled around the rim and then fell off. "VICTORY" I scream "Don't get to full of yourself."He said while rolling his eyes and laughing
Jack's POV
We arrived at the arcade and Layla ran ahead of me and into the arcade by the time I got inside she had already gotten her tokens and was waiting for me by the basketball game. I quickly got my tokens an walked towards her. "I challenge you, whoever loses has to buy the other ice cream." She said with a grin. "You're on" I said we both put in our token and started playing. It was the last ball left we were. Tied 19-19 this shot was gonna determine who won and who lost. I could tell she was trying to concentrate on her form so I did the same. We shot at the same time, everything seemed to go in slow motion. Her ball swished through the net as mine slowly rolled around the rim and fell off. "VICTORY" she yelled with an ear-to-ear smile. She's so happy about her win it's adorable. "Don't get to full of yourself."I said rolling my eyes playfully. we played ore games and won tickets at the end we combined them "What do you want to get?" I asked while waiting in line to cash In our tickets. "I want that huge bear." She pointed to a HUGE fuzzy bear on a high shelf it was 1000 tickets and I'm pretty sure with both of us combined we had enough. We walked up to the person behind the counter. "What would you like" the older woman asked flashing a kind smile. "We would like that bear up there." I said as I pointed to the bear Layla had wanted. "I'm sorry if this is weird but You guys are a really cute couple"the lady said smiling. "Actually were not dating" I said I could feel my face heating up. "Oh I'm so sorry my fault for assuming. Anyways, you guys have just enough to get the bear and some candy or something." She said getting the bear down. "We'll take some starbursts then I guess."she grabs them and gives them to us. We hand her out tickets and we take our stuff and head Out the door. "Hey I hope you know I want partial custody of that bear." I stated playfully as she places it in the backseat. "I'll maybe let you have visiting rights but I want to make sure You're a suitable parent for Alfred." She stated. "Ah So u named it Alfred?" I asked "Yea ya know remember when we first were talking and I asked for your name and you said it was Alfred." She said "Oh yea." I said laughing. "You owe Alfred an I ice cream"she said looking back from me to Alfred. "I owe yOU ice cream not Alfred." I said looking at her "See this is why you don't get partial custody Jack ur a bad father." She said semi-seriously. "I'm sorry, my bad, I'll get him ice cream, please don't take my custody awayyy." I said sticking out my bottom lip and pouting "I have to ask Alfred if he forgives you." She leans back to the stuffed bear and puts her ear to his mouth. "Yea, uh huh. I KNOW RIGHT! Ugh fine." She got back into her seat. "Alfred said he forgave you." "Thank you Alfred" I said as I looked back at the stuffed bear. After that weird ass conversation we headed into the Dairy Queen and up to the counter and ordered our ice cream. "Hi welcome to Dairy Queen, what would h like to order?"the boy behind the counter said. "I would like a small Oreo blizzard please." Layla said "would like a medium twist cone please."I said. We payed and waited for our ice creams when ours were done the boy who had made them looked about our age handles me mine first and keeps staring at Layla which was bothering me for some reason. when he went to hand Layla hers he said, "I hope I see you again." Who does that? Why am I mad about him saying that? As we walked out of the DQ I started mocking the guy "I hope I see you again."I said mocking the boy behind the counter. "Who the fuck even says that?" I said "Him I guess, why is little Jacky jealous?" She asked playfully while staring at me. Maybe I was kinda jealous but she can't know that. "No, I-uh was just asking."real smooth Jack I mentally face palmed myself. We ate the rest of our ice cream and I drove Layla home. As we arrive at her house I walk her and Alfred of course to her front door "Thank you for tonight I had a great time."she smiled. "Alfred say thanks to your father." She pulls the bear up to her face so she's hiding behind the bear. "Thanks dad" she says and pulls it away from her face as I laugh at her goofy ness. Soon enough we say good night and she walks into her house. As I walk back to my car I wonder how tf did I ever live without that girl.
