Upset and lost, Jules stood at door. He felt embarrassed. Was he angry? He wasn't even sure what he had seen.
Jules was annoyed with himself. It was absolutely uncalled-for to read a piece of fake news about a person right in front of him.
Someone once told Jules how Leon hated it. Things had been better recently, but in his first few years as an actor, he often clashed with the media. Thinking himself powerful, he never cared, or perhaps considered, the consequences.
It was because of this that he had earned the nickname of "feisty star "at one point.
When he was interviewed, he even mocked them, saying things like "Go to hell! Cooking up blatant lies, as usual. Who is more offensive, you or me?" The media eventually regarded these insults as gifts.
As time went by, the more well-known he became, the more popular of a media topic he was, but he didn't care about the stories.
However, that didn't mean he liked being written about.
Jules was worried.
It had taken him a lot to get close to Leon, only for him to lose it in a moment.
He tried to comfort himself, breathing deeply. At least he didn't see the half-naked photos of him on my phone.
Jules pushed the door open.
Leon sat comfortably on a chair, smoking, with two legs resting on the table. He was playing on his phone.
Jules began, embarrassingly. "Leon..."
Leon raised his eyes. "Are you having fun, snooping into my private affairs?"
Jules staggered, almost getting on his knees.
"No." He shook his head, explaining in a low voice. "I didn't do it on purpose...I was just curious... The news came up and..."
Jules continued his explanation. "But I know it's nonsense so I never believe it."
"You're shaking." Leon raised his eyebrows. "You seemed to have responded to those comments. Do you believe them?"
"Of course not!" Jules was swearing. "It's all fake. They are using your name for views. It's nonsense. I am mad with them!''
Leon smiled. "To what extent?"
"I..." Jules's face turned red. He wiped his face with his sleeve. "I will refuse their interviews from now on."
Leon laughed. "Keep these words from your agent, or he will be the first to shame me."
Hearing the word 'agent', Jules thought about the message from Tony. It was much better for him to see Jules getting along with Leon. Jules felt more relaxed and sat down, his phone in his hand. He looked at a message from Tony.
When will you finish?
Jules looks at the time, then replied. At around 11 p.m, not sure.
What about tomorrow?
The whole day. Jules typed, then sent.
Jules's phone rang. It was Tony. Jules glanced at Leon, then left the room to answer the call.
Before Tony could say anything, Jules spoke. "Tony. I've told you before, I won't act in another play at same time..."
Tony was at a loss. "Don't be so stubborn. It's good for you. I have some good resources of commercial activities. Are you interested?"
Jules laughed. "No thanks. Just forget it. I haven't done much work recently and I don't like taking advantage of others' work.''
Tony sounded confused. "What? No, I mean, the company has signed several new actors. They want you to supervise them."
