Cardi POV

Mr.Taylor questioned Raleigh and made her pull up Jeremiah's grades in the computer and in the grade book.

In the grade book he had straight A's and B's but in the computer, he had C minuses. His overall grade has become an F since I wouldn't comply to Raleigh's demands. He forced her to change Miah's grades back, fired her and told her that she needed to get all of her stuff out of the classroom by Monday. This meant that Miah's class would have a new teacher. It's what she deserves.

She sent me a text saying "you got me fired" with an angry emoji.

Me: you got yourself fired. Have fun trying to find a new job. Leave me alone

Fortunately, I got no reply. I proceeded to block her number. Hennessy was right, Raleigh was not a gold digger but she sure was desperate. Nevertheless, I did wish her the best of luck with life. I didn't want to be attached to her in any way. Not even friends. She's messed up in the head on some real stuff.

"What did the principal say?"Nicki asked over the phone. Just to be on the safe side, I had told Nicki about the whole Raleigh situation just incase something popped off.

"She got fired."

"That's what she gets, messing with my babies' grades."

We talked some more and like a smart person, I keep changing clothes in my trunk. I changed and went to meet with Kiari. I haven't seen him in weeks and the group was back from touring.

"Making my way downtown, walkin' fast..."I mumbled as I walked into the building. I walked right past the receptionist desk until the guy called me back over.

"Aren't you Offset's girlfriend?"He asked.

"I guess so."I shrugged.

"Here to see him?"

"Yeah."

He asked for a picture with me and I gave him what he wanted. That was... more than weird. Strangers never asked me for pictures before.

I went to the elevator and got off on the fourth floor. "Babe!"I screamed, jumping on him. I kissed him all over his face, showing him I missed him while his friends watched.

The Quavo guy had his phone out recording us while the Takeoff one acted like I wasn't even there.

I tried to greet the other two and Quavo was nice but Takeoff shook me off like a bug. I ignored it. "I want to play with it."I smiled and started messing with buttons on the soundboard.

A loud noise sounded in the room and I covered my ears.

"Control ya girl, man."Takeoff snarled once he made the sound go off. "Sorry,"I mumbled.

"It's okay."He pulled me up out of the chair and onto his lap.

He started kissing on my neck, making me smile and blush.

"Set, go do your verse."Takeoff interrupted us. I rolled my eyes. "It can wait."Kiari waved it off.

"The sooner you record your verse, the sooner we can put it out. Sooner we get some damn money."He interjected. Kiari huffed and I got off his lap so he could go in the booth. I watched in awe as he spit his whole verse out. This seems fun, hey, maybe I could write a song, I thought.

"I want to write a song."I smiled at him when he came out. "Looks easy."

"It's a lot harder than you think."Takeoff spoke up. "Yeah whatever, I think I can do it."I waved him off.

"Okay, can you freestyle?"Kiari asked me. "What...is that?"I felt stupid.

"Come up with something on the spot."Quavo chimed in.

"Uhh,"I was speechless.

"Come on, you got it. Say whatever comes to mind."

"I like you."I gushed with a smile which made him smile. We kissed. "Two lovebirds."Quavo shook his head and laughed. The spotlight was taken off of me and put back on the song they were working on.

When I left Kiari, I went to the dollar store and picked up a notepad and two pens. I was determined to write I song and prove to Takeoff that it was easy. But he was right, it was hard. Especially with me being an amateur.

It took me two days to come up with an actual lyric and a week for a verse. All I had down so far was:

I swear to God, they ain't wanna see me leave the club
Got up on my sh*t and now they scared to show me love
They'd rather see me on the pole twerkin' it for dubs
I guess I really gotta show them what the f*ck is up
I'm on some other sh*t, that Cardi B gutta sh*t
Every time I catch a hating b*tch, she on her stutter sh*t
Can't finish her words but on Instagram thuggin' sh*t
You set yourself up, don't make it seem like I be buggin', b*tch
And niggas hatin' on me, really be upset
I don't know, make me wonder what you got between your legs
You a real nigga mad at a b*tch for getting bread?
You's a b*tch from birth, you just grew a third leg, woo!

The rest of the song came easy to me after that. I turned the paper in to Kiari to see what he thought about it.

He said it was hot but I needed to come up with a real banger to really put my name out there. He said I had talent but I did it for fun even though he thought that I should take it more serious.

Then I came up with Bodak Yellow. Of course, it needed more work but it was a start. I pushed the music out for my own entertainment but then when I sat back and really thought about it, like, what if I blew up? I'd be able to support Nicki and Jeremiah and get us out of that dingy apartment complex. I'd get us all out the hood, we'd never see another struggle.

I guess I do have to take this shit a little more serious. Let's get it.

Cardi trying to become a musical artist. What y'all think about that ?
