Nicki POV
"Kennnnn!"I yelled. "Stop! I'm trying to cook!"I whined.
He was supposed to be eating ice cream, instead, he was painting my face with the chocolate. "Ion even like chocolate ice cream. There. Now you look like you got shit on ya face."He laughed while I stale faced him.
"Get it off! I will throw this boiling hot water on you."I threatened.
"Do it and Ima bust ya ass."
My mouth shut and my eyebrow raised at him; he caught himself.
"Ian mean to say that."He tried to hug me. "No. Get away from me."I pushed him off. He huffed and left the kitchen. I cleaned the caked up chocolate ice cream off of my nose and forehead then went back to cooking. Tonight we were having Italian stuffed shells. It doesn't take that long but I'm making it early because I know I won't feel like doing it later tonight.
"Check your phone."He bought my phone to me then walked back out. I looked at it, seeing two messages from him.
"Stop texting me boy."I screamed, rolling my eyes. "Just look at it."He told me.
I huffed and started to stuff the shells. I put meat at the bottom, sauce in the middle and then lettuce on the top. A top the lettuce, I sprayed cheese on it. All done. I put it in the oven and it came out looking ever so delicious. I sat them out to cool down.
I washed my hands and looked at my phone.
Boyfriend😌: I'm sorry baby
I love you
I love youHe triple texted just to say that and I smiled. I texted back, then went in the living room. "Why didn't you go to work today?"I asked.
I got comfortable on the couch and laid my feet in his lap.
"I wanted to be with you. Besides, my session isn't until later. You gonna come with me?"
"If I do, whose going to pick up Jeremiah?"
"We'll be done before then."
"When's the last time you talked to your sons?"I asked, just to be nosey.
"You know how they mamas are. They don't like you."He laughed. "Jealousy is all it is."
I made him sit through Love And Hip Hop:Atlanta with me. This new season was crazy. Tokyo was from New Orleans, Louisiana, so of course, I've seen her around here. I'm happy for her; she made it to the big screen. On a reality tv show such as this one, not so much but hey, whatever floats your boat sis.
When it was time to go, I got dressed and Ken and I went to his studio session.
He didn't get in the booth today, just wrote new lyrics. He's got so much talent and devotion, he finished a whole song in that one studio session. I was indeed proud of him. After that, we picked up our son from school. "Look what I got!"He took off his book bag and unzipped it.
"Put your seatbelt on first."
He snapped his seatbelt then got out a piece of paper.
"I took a test today! And the teacher gave me an-."
"An A!"I finished for him, like a pleased parent. "Yes! That's amazing sweetie. Keep up the good work." I snapped a picture of Jeremiah looking down at his tablet and pulled up the keyboard. "He got an A on his test!"I wrote. I sent it to Bel and posted it to my story.
Bel and I don't talk much anymore; I can feel our relationship slowly deteriorating but there was nothing I could do to save it. She was busy with her rapping career and I respected that even though it hurt. She always said she'd never forget us but it seems as if Jeremiah and I are being pushed to the back of her mind.
Summer is in five months. Time is definitely fasting these days. I thanked God for pulling my family back together piece by piece. I don't want anything to break us apart. Ken and I have come too far to be yanked right back to square one.
When we got home, I took a shower and got in the bed.
"Did you need help with your homework?"I heard Ken ask his son.
"No thanks, I got it. It's just some adjectives."Miah told him.
"You sure?"
"Did you pass second grade?"Miah asked.
"Yes."
"Okay. What's number five?"
I listened to them talk about the English homework Jeremiah was assigned by his teacher.

"Someone is outside for you!"The receptionist told me. I rolled my eyes.
"Someone is always interrupting my work time."I mumbled to myself, annoyed.
I got out of my chair, left my office and went outside. When my eyes landed on the person in front of me, I turned around, ready to go back inside. I should've known it was nobody but Raleigh; I had nothing to say to this chick. Why is she even here? I thought I told the receptionist to tell the guards not to let her past the gates...
"I-I'm not here to start trouble."Raleigh grabbed my arm. I jerked away.
"Don't. Touch. Me."I spoke, through gritted teeth. "What do you want little girl?"
"I came to give you something. I found out where Cardi lives- the exact location."
"Why you telling me that?"
"You can take my plane ticket. And the address is written on this piece of paper."She pulled the ticket and the loose leaf sheet of paper out of her purse.
"I figured, since you had a greater impact on her life, you should go instead of me."She handed it to me and I took it.
"I don't understand. Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?"
"I had a change of heart. Take it as an apology for all I put your son through."
"Okay."
"I have to go now. I came here on my break."
"Thank you Raleigh. That's really nice of you."
She smiled and got in her car. She pulled off just as I was back in my office.
I stared at the plane ticket and everything attached to it. It was a one way ticket, so I'd have to pay for my own flight back home. I guess I'm going to Miami...
