-Michael-
Melanie rubbed her eyes, laying against my chest. Lately, she hadn't been herself much. Maybe my angel was coming down with a cold. I looked at Lisa, "I thought you said you were going to take her to Children's Group."

"I did say that and I forgot, Michael. I'm sure we can treat her cold here at home."

I furrowed my brows, "How do you forget those types of things? We can't treat anything if we don't even know what's wrong."

She continued to flick through the channels on the tv and I sighed, showing off my annoyance. I don't regret my children at all, but I could've found mother material in someone better. She's not attentive, she's not caring, and as you see, she's very forgetful.

I stood up and stormed out of the room with Melanie's arms wrapped tightly around me. She knows if anyone loves her, I do. I always feel like a single father at times. I take care of our three children by myself. She's so selfish, man. Only thinks of herself. I need more help around here especially when I'm away handling career business.

-Aaliyah-
Days had gone by and I had a few interviews this week. They went well. I was so close to losing control as I stepped into the homes of celebrities. Today of all days is the most important because it's my interview with Michael Jackson. I combed my hair down and creased out my dress. I smiled at my appearance and walked out, getting inside my car. I pulled out the directions to Neverland Ranch and started the engine, driving there quickly.

I pulled up and parked, exhaling heavily as butterflies invaded my stomach and my heart raced faster. I couldn't believe I was sitting outside the home of the King of Pop. The greatest entertainer to ever live.

I built up the nerve to finally remove myself from my car and approach the main house. I knocked and exhaled again, feeling my body shudder nervously. The door began to open and there he was.

Dressed in a blue button down with black slacks and black loafers, his hair in slight curls, and a beautiful smile planted perfectly on his face. "Hello there. You must be Ms. Haughton?"

I nodded, smiling nervously as he extended his hand to me. I shook it and I could've died as our hands touched for a few seconds. "You can call me Aaliyah."

"Aaliyah. Beautiful name for a beautiful woman. Please, come in." He stepped back and allowed me in. I stepped in and looked around, smiling as I followed him into the living room.

"Beautiful home, Mr. Jackson. I love this place already."

He smiled as we took a seat on the couch, "Please, call me Michael."

We sat there quietly for a second then he started to ask me questions. I told him about myself and informed him of my background info, letting him know my record is clean.

"So, you love children?" I smiled, "Do I? I love the innocence of children. The beauty they bring. They're absolutely wonderful and honestly, I could take care of children for free."

Michael smiled, nodding his head. He stared at me and my heart began racing again. I giggled softly and he looked away, "I'm sorry." I assured him things were fine and he asked me more of my skills and experience with children. I caught myself trailing off at times and staring in his face for too long. It bothered me that I couldn't jump on top of him and just hug him, but I had to keep my control.

Once the interview was over, he walked me to the door and asked, "May I hug you?" I smiled, "Of course." We hugged gently, not embracing for long.

"You're not like the other women I've interviewed. You're different. Very different." He studied me and his words gave me hope. Hope that I would be returning to his home in no time to be a nanny to his awfully beautiful children.

-Narrator-
Aaliyah's phone rung and she answered, not looking at the caller id, "Hello?" "Aaliyah. Mm, sweet voice Liyah." The voice of her ex fiancé spoke charmingly through the phone.

"Calvin? Hmph. What do you want?" He laughed, "I want you, but I guess I ruined that, huh?" "You surely did. I don't know why you wasted your time calling my phone. Don't your wife and children need you?"

"Since when did you get so mean, LiLi? You know you don't have a bad bone in that pretty little body of yours." Calvin laughed again and Aaliyah rolled her eyes, "You haven't seen the bad side of me, Calvin. For your sake, you don't want to." "Liyah, please. You're not tough." She didn't feel like going through this with him, so she politely hung up.

The following Monday, Michael prepared the children breakfast as Lisa slept in bed as every morning. "Daddy, will our new nanny be here today?" Mariah asked as she sat on the counter, watching him flip a pancake.

"That's the plan, Princess," he smiled as the pancake landed perfectly into the pan. Lisa entered the kitchen with Melanie resting on her hip.

"Hi mommy," Mariah waved and Lisa yawned, fanning her off. "Michael, Melanie woke up crying. I think something's wrong."

"Do I have to do everything around here?" Michael sighed as he added the last pancake to his plate. He helped Mariah off the counter and grabbed two plates; one for Mariah and one for Jr.

"I'll take her to Children's Group once breakfast is over," he said and took Melanie into his arms and rolled his eyes at Lisa. As they ate breakfast, Michael's mind kept drifting to thoughts of Aaliyah. He couldn't wait to see her again. Absolutely mesmerized by her beauty, he sighed out loud as a smile crept upon his lips. Lisa tapped him, "What's on your mind, honey?"

Michael shook his head, "Oh! Uhhh. Nothing." Lisa could tell he wasn't being honest, but she continued to eat quietly.

-Aaliyah-
I screamed to the top of my lungs as I hung up with Mr. James. "Aaliyah baby, what's wrong?" Mama asked as she stormed in my room.

"I GOT THE JOB! I'M GOING TO BE A NANNY TO MICHAEL JACKSON'S CHILDREN!" We screamed together
and I smiled widely. I couldn't wait to start my new job.

After a morning of preparing myself, I was ready to head over to Neverland. A driver was sent to pick me up. I got out of the limo and approached the main house. After a few knocks, Lisa opened the door, "May I help you?" Hmph. Rude!

"Hello, Mrs. Jackson. I'm Aaliyah. Your new nanny."

She frowns, "Nanny? I didn't hire a nanny."

"Mr. Jackson did. I was interviewed for the position a few days ago. Did he not run it by you?"

"He didn't," she folded her arms and invited me in. We sat on seperate couches and waited patiently for Michael to return home.

He entered in with his youngest daughter and smiled as our eyes met. I blushed and soon, his smiled dropped as he saw the ugly mug planted on his wife's face.

"Baby," he laughed nervously, "I see you've met our nanny."

"Why wasn't I informed of a new nanny, Michael?" She folded her arms and I looked nervously, feeling the tension build between them.

"Meet me upstairs," Michael said and placed the little girl down. "What's wrong, cutie?" I asked as Michael and Lisa argued while going upstairs.

"Are you not feeling well?" I asked and she walked over, frowning. I rubbed her back and sat her on my lap. She laid against my chest and I smiled, holding her close to me. She smelled of powder and fruit scented hair grease. Hehe.

"Can you tell LiLi here your name?" She nodded against my chest, "Mewanie." "Aww," I giggled, rubbing her back, "Melanie is such a beautiful name. How old are you, sweetie?" "I 2," she replied, twirling the ends of my hair around her finger.

Melanie yawned softly and I smiled, "Are you sleepy?" She nodded and I cleared my throat, beginning to sing to her while swaying her in my arms. I felt her grip on my hair loosening and her head begun to sink a little. I kissed her forehead and Michael spoke softly behind me, "You're quite amazing."
