"My mother?" I asked as mid confusion settled in.

"Nope."

Who could've this mysterious person have been? How was I related to them?

For about another half hour, we both sat in silence as neither of us could speak. Finally, Fritz said, "they say it's someone on your father's side."

"It's my father?" I asked in disbelief.

"No no no, your father was a friend of mine. He was a good man who served his country. Back in the day, he even ran for Emperor."

I cut him off there, "he ran for Emperor?" It did make sense. Maybe that's why Hunst wanted a huge funeral service for him. How come I never heard of this from people in Retsawl or even the rest of Heliea?

"Yeah, sadly he died midway through his candidacy..." He said sorrowfully as Trinity came in.

"Hey, I'm back" she said cheerfully while carrying a box full of milk and eggs. "Now, who's ready to make a cake?"

Nobody responded as a very serious conversation had ended.

"Well, I should probably head back to Hunst before the sun goes down and it's opposite rises." Fritz got up and whispered to me as he left, "we're watching you, and who you associate with. We will find your relative, with or without your help."

Trinity knew something was up by seeing my face. She quickly questioned, "what's wrong? What happened?"

"My father....ran for Emperor; and now I have some relative going around causing trouble and stirring up trouble, and Fritz thinks I have something to do with it."

"Why would you have anything to do with it?" She asked with a pretty good point. I mean, why would I have something to do with it? I have everything here in Heliea. Why would Fritz think I'd want to bite the hand that feeds me? Unless, he's worried I might be getting close to solving what was stolen and why it meant so much to him. I wasn't, but he didn't know that.

"You're right. I wouldn't." I responded with a slight smirk, but not enough for Trinity to catch it.

"So, do you have any clue who this unknown relative is?"

"Actually, I haven't a clue. I thought all of my family was dead until last year. I didn't even know Sapal was my brother; a well-known figure in a huge country, and I hadn't the knowledge of it. Everyone told me they died in a terrible accident, like the accident my father had died in. I didn't even know my father was a candidate for Emperor! I mean, I guess I never even questioned it, but why would I question something so serious? Why?"

The conversation ended there when my mother walked in the room. "Now, who's ready to make a cake?"

Trinity and I looked at each other and laughed.

"Why the laughter?" said my mother.

"Trinity said that earlier" I replied.

My mom walked near me and whispered, "Sapal is staying in Friere county. He doesn't want a fight, he wants to help you with something. You need to go now."
