Chapter 4 (Sounding Like My Mother)

At the Dining pavilion Percy and Annabeth sat with Nico and I at the Poseidon table and Leo sat with his cabin.

"So who's ready for some dinner?" Percy asked when we sat down.

"I could eat." I said.

"You can always eat sis, remember the time we were in moms candy store and you shoved like 20 pieces of chocolate in your mouth and then you..." Percy started.

"Yes Percy I remember" I said cutting him off.

Percy laughed and Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"What did you do then?" Nico asked me with suspicion.

"Oh you should have seen it she..." Percy started again.

"I did nothing I ate my chocolate then waited for my mom like a good girl" I said cutting Percy off.

Percy laughed again.

"Okay???" Nico asked.

"It's nothing" I snapped.

Nico laughed and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I'm sure" he smirked.

I rolled my eyes just before Chiron spoke.

"Hello Campers!" Chiron greeted.

We all replied with a half heartedly cheer.

"Such enthusiasm" Mr.D uttered sarcastically.

"Welcome to a new summer, where you'll get to reconnect with old friends and train" Chiron said.

We all replied with silence.

"Well as you know even though we reconnect with old friends the gods never stop being "busy" so we do have some new campers here. If you would please stand" Chiron said.

I saw a couple people stand and I noticed Leo had a new sister and Annabeth had a new brother.

"Thank you, please be seated." Chiron said gesturing them to sit.

"Well tonight will be a free night for you all to just reconnect but tomorrow we will be having a game of capture the flag!" Chiron said.

This announcement brought cheers of joy and excitement.

"That's the spirit! You're head counselor has the details for the game but for now enjoy your meals and welcome back!" Chiron finished.

"So Perc do you know the details of the game?" I asked turning back to the table.

"Yeah" he said checking his phone.

"And could you tell me them?" I asked him.

"I could" He said keeping his attention on his phone.

"Ugh, Percy can you put the stupid phone down and tell me the details of the game" I said to him.

"First off, This phone isn't stupid, it doesn't give off a signal to monsters so it's actually kind of amazing" Percy said looking up.

I rolled my eyes.

"And second you sound like mom!" he said to me.

"I do not sound like mom!" I defended.

"Yeah you do, Hey Nico doesn't she sound like our mom?" Percy asked Nico.

I looked at Nico.

"Well I've never met you mom so I wouldn't know" Nico said trying to get off the hook.

"But doesn't she sound like a mom?" Percy asked Nico.

I raised my eye brow as I looked at Nico.

"Uh I think I should stay out of this." Nico said becoming very interested in his phone.

"That's a yes." Percy laughed.

"What ever, would you please tell me the details of the game?" I asked Percy.

"I would but right now Annabeth and I have to go welcome some newbies" Percy said standing up along with Annabeth.

"Fine then tell me later" I sighed and Percy walked away.

After dinner Nico and I went for a walk on the beach.

"Nico?" I asked as we were walking.

"Yeah" He answered.

"Do I really sound like my mother?" I asked him.

"I already told you I haven't met your mother so I wouldn't know" He said.

"You haven't met my mother?" I asked him.

"Well once but that was with your brother and it was a couple years ago so I don't remember her" Nico answered.

"Well then I guess you're going to have to meet her by the end of the summer" I said to him.

"I'm not sure..... you're dad kinda scared me when I met him" Nico said hesitant.

"Oh don't worry, My mom is much nicer" I said.

He relaxed a little.

"Okay then set the date and I'll be there." Nico said.

"Great! The after you meet my mom I could meet your dad." I said.

Nico stopped walking.

"What?" he asked.

"Then I could meet your dad, I've never really met him I've only seen him at the winter solace and after the second Titan war and the Gaea war" I said to him.

He froze.

"Listen Elise my dad isn't the kind of guy you want to meet he's evil and mean and cold. He's The Lord of the underworld for a reason" Nico said.

"I know that but he is your father and I want to meet him since he's your family" I said to Nico.

"You're my family Elise" Nico said leaning down to kiss me.

"Just think about it okay?" I asked him.

He looked like he was going to object but I kissed him so he couldn't.

After our walk on the beach Nico walked me back to my cabin.

"Goodnight Elise" Nico said giving me a quick kiss.

I pulled him into a longer one.

"Goodnight Elise" He said again.

I sighed "Goodnight Nico".

"Love you Jackson" Nico said.

"Love you Di Angelo" I said kissing him again.

"Yeah love you Di Angelo" I heard Percy say inside the cabin.

Way to kill the mood bro.

Nico laughed and I blushed.

"Love you other Jackson" Nico said walking to his cabin.

The first thing I did when I walked in the cabin was slap Percy.

"Ow, What the hell?" Percy complained.

"Thanks for screwing up that moment" I sighed sitting on my bunk.

"Hey what are brothers for?" Percy said picking up his phone.

I rolled my eyes and got ready for bed.
