This has got to be the slowest Uber in the world. "Come on man"  I whisper anxiously watching the buildings and store scroll by. *phone rings*

I pull out my phone, rolling up the car window

I pull out my phone, rolling up the car window. "Hello?"
"Where are you? The wedding is starting"  Vee warns. [sigh] "I'm on the way, just save me a seat next to you"

"How far are you?"
"I'm not that far. I'm a few lights away"
"Okay, hurry"
[ends call]

I lean forward, grabbing onto the sides of the driver seat. "Excuse me, I'm sorry but could you speed up a little. I'm running late to my friends wedding"

He glances over his shoulder at me then back to the road. "Are you the maid of honor or something?"
"No but-"
"Then no. The speed limit is 15 over here. It's a school district"

I slam my back against the seat letting out a harsh breath. "No tip for you, asshole"

As we pull up I hop out of a slowly moving car, running straight into the wedding venue. Heels clanking against marble floor, echoing down the massive halls. I run into the wedding party, lined up and ready to go. The back of Bethany's dress laced with sparkles glimmering under the oversized chandelier. As I approach the line I notice that it's not Bethany's father standing in the back of the line with her. Jaw length hair stopped at the nape of his neck. Dark brown fringes delicately spread across his neck.
