We stayed in that dark and damp cave till we saw the orange glow of daybreak. When we set out the sun was coming up over the hills on the horizon. By late morning we reached the guild. When we walked in I was greeted by Natsu taking me by the hand and hugging me and Lucy. The rest of the guild just stared at us, in our battered clothes and muddy faces.
"I thought you guys were goners!" He said.
"I knew they would come back." Said a dark haired boy, he had no shirt on. Sitting next to him was Mira.
"Gray, Your clothes." She giggles as he grabbed his shirt off the bar counter top.
"Glad you're safe." He smiled as he looked at Lucy.
"I have to speak with the master." I said.
"Let's get you cleaned up first." Natsu said."Your clothes are a mess." He looked at my bust area to find the star hanging on to my shirt by just a tread. He went to fix it but I blocked him.
"I'll fix it. Now the master." I exclaimed. Lucy led me to the back were I told the master everything.
"No need to worry, my child." He replied."They would never attack."
"But I'm warning you."
"Thank you. Now shouldn't you tell Natsu the truth about you. It might make him feel better."
"Why so?"
"He was worried about you when you were gone."
"He probably was worried about Lucy."
"No. He told Gray that the moment you walked trough the doors he liked you. Unfortunately for him and you, Gray spread the rumour. Hehehe" The Master giggled. These words I heard didn't seem true. Natsu liked me. "Now go." I ran past him and headed to the home of Natsu and Happy. His annoying flying cat thing.
At Natsu's house I was strangely nervous. What if Natsu didn't like me, and that Gray made that up. I was about to knock on his door when I remembered that my clothes were still a wreak. I was about to turn away where he opened the door. "What are you doing here?" He asked me innocently. But he couldn't hide the smile on his face.
"Um, um." I couldn't speak. "I'm a..."
"A what?"
"A," I swallowed my fear and said it out loud," I'm a Star dragon slayer and I was wondering..." Before I could finish he grabbed me and hugged me tightly. All I could do was to hug back.
"I knew. Lucy told me. I'm so glad you're here." He pulled me in closer.
"Is it true that you like me?"
"Where did you hear that?!?!?" He let go of the hug.
"Gray."
"That bastard! Making rumours about me again I see?!?! We are going to the guild right now and I'm going to beat the pulp out of him!" He yelled.
"Aye sir!" Chimed Happy. He took Natsu by the scarf and was about to fly away with him when I put my hand on his shoulder.
"No, don't go." I said.
"But Alice! Gray has no right to make up rumours about me!"
"Then fight me. Get you anger out on me." He looked at me like I was crazy. By the time he raised his fists I was beginning to think I was insane. But it was better if he didn't take his anger out on others.
"Okay, but I ain 't holding back on you because you're a newbie!"
"Aye sir!" Happy yelled. Natsu ran towards me but I remained completely still. By the look on his face he was holding back a lot. "Fire dragon ROAR!" He yelled. I can feel the heat of his breath coming towards me. Right before it hit me I took a little step to the right and dogged the entire thing. It was my turn now.
"Star dragon WING SLASH!" My attack hit him but he emerged from the smoke it caused and wrestled me to the ground. He was about to hit me when he stopped and laughed.
"I win." He said. He leaned in towards me. His lips inches away from mine. He stopped and hopped up. "Get up." He told me sternly. He held out his hand for me and I grabbed it and pulled my aching body up."What was it you were going to tell me before?" He asked curiously.
"Do you know where my dragon Estrela is?"
"No. When did she disappear?"
"July 7th."
"Same with everyone's else's."
"Also watch out."
"For what?"
"People who want to hurt dragons. They captured Lucy and me last night. They want to convince the dragons to destroy the world. So the want to use the dragon slayers as bait.
It worked once, so they are doing it again."
"Who was the one to give you this information? Is he another slayer?" When he asked this I just hung my head.
"I didn't have to ask anyone." I whispered just loud enough for him to hear.
