"Look who it is," Gray said. They circled each other slowly.
"Let's make a bet, who ever wins get's her." Natsu replied.
"Is she really that important to both of us? Then it's a deal. I would love to see your face when I take her to dinner."
"Then let's start, big eyes." The gong rung and a thought crossed my mind. Who was this girl they were talking about? It was either me or Lucy. Probably Lucy. I watched at a safe distance from the fire and ice being thrown about. "Wing slash of the fire dragon!!" Screamed Natsu. It hit Gray head on. Natsu looked at me and smiled.
"Go Natsu!!!" I yelled.
"Don't give up Natsu!" Yelled Happy. Happy flew up to my shoulder and sat there to watch. The battle intensified when Gray hit Natsu with an ice lance, but I knew Natsu wouldn't fall because of something silly like that and soon enough he got back up.
"Fire dragon secret art, roar of the lightning fire dragon!" Gray was not expecting this and when it hit him he got knocked out cold.
"And the winner is Natsu!!!" Yelled the master over all the cheering. I ran over to him and gave him a huge hug. "Let the feast begin!" Everyone walked over to the park next door where there was picnic tables and food set up. Our little team sat at the same table with the exception of Levy. Natsu sat next to me and Gray sat on the opposite side of the table. Lucy bragged about her and the prize money she earned for being pretty. Natsu held me close as we laughed and talked all night long. At the end of the night he walked me and Lucy home. Lucy and I walked dangerously close the river that flowed past our apartment building.
"Don't fall in!" A near by boated hollered at us.
"We won't!" Lucy yelled back. When we reached the apartment buildings Natsu let us in and we all headed our separate ways. Back in my room at last, I fell asleep on the floor because the events of the day tired me so much. When I awoke the next morning I was in my bed. I looked in my room to find Natsu's and Happy sleeping on the floor by my bed side. I stared at him and Happy sleeping do peacefully. I guess the were tiered too so instead of walking all the way to their place they bunked with me. I got ready quietly and left the apartment without waking them. I went on a morning stroll outside the city. I could hear the birds signing and the wind rustling the leaves on the trees. It was so peacefully. In the distance I could see a small figure sitting by a pond. Her hair was so recognizable I knew who it was. Wendy. Carla wasn't with her. I walked over to her and sat beside her.
"Hey." I said.
"Hi Alice!" She replied.
"Where's Carla?"
"At the guild. She didn't seem in the mood to come on a walk so she stayed behind."
"Well, what do you want to do?"
"Can we play hide and go seek?"
"Great idea! This place has so many good hiding places!"
"You count first."
"Okay!" She ran off into the woods some where as I counted to 30 sec. When I was done counting I had no idea where she had gone. I looked under shrubs and bushes to find her. I looked in hollow trees and then after 10mins of looking I heard a high pitched scream. "Wendy?!?!" I screamed. "It's not nice to scare me like this." I ran to an open field to find her knocked out and laying there in the tall grass unmoving. Her hands were tied and her mouth was gagged. I felt her pulse and knew she was still alive. Then I realized a small note she had in her hand. I took it and opened it up to find the scariest note in my life. It read, You're next. then it's the guild if you don't come peacefully. I closed the note up and put it in my hand. I picked up the knocked out Wendy in my arms and ran to the guild. When I entered the guild all eyes were on me as I set her down on the floor and then the Master came towards me.
