(A Draco Malfoy One Shot) [Part 2]

[A/N: I'm sooooo sorry that this took me so long. I was so busy and I sort of rushed it to get the ending and again I'm sorry! I hope you like it...It's kind of lengthy and it takes a while for the Draco/Amani to really come in! Please R&R]

~1998~[Amani is 18]

Amani felt her heart beat racing in her throat. Everyone was gathered in the Great Hall while Snape questioned the school about the whereabouts of Harry Potter. Amani was so glad she was surrounded by people because she could feel herself squirming and her eyes rapidly looking around. She knew the whereabouts of the boy because she had seen him sneaking into the line when they were on their way to this hell hole. 

She had to do a double take when she had seen him, merging into the the Gryffindor line. He hadn't been at the school all year. He had been off on some adventure with the other two gryffindors, Hermione and Ron. Amani wasn't as close to them as she used to be for two reasons. 1)They had gone off for a year and 2) She loved Draco more than she liked the Golden Trio. Speaking of Draco, he was standing somewhere in the mass of Slytherins. They had been separated on the way here, and Amani hadn't seen where he had ended up.

Then, all of a sudden, Harry showed himself and a duel started between Snape and him. Proffesor McGonagall intervened and Snape wound up going out the window, flying off into the night. Everyone cheered, even the Slytherins. They may have liked Professor Snape, but they way the school was ran under him was pure hell. Amani's attention turned towards the doors leading into the great hall. There stood a group of people Amani later found out were 'The Order of the Phoenix.

Amani was trying to push through the crowd and find Draco, when this werid feeling came over her. Then, in her mind an eerie whisper started to form.  Amani gripped her head as the voice said to give Harry Potter up and he would leave us alone. Amnai let out a gasp as she tried to shake her head back in forh, hopping the voice would leave, but it didn't. It continued to talk, before finally disapearing.

"There he is, right there. Some one grab him!" Amani instantly recgonized Pansy's annoying voice. Was she really that stupid? Did she honestly think the other three houses or the adults would give up their hope? Harry Potter was the only thing stopping Voldemort from taking over the wizarding and muggle world.

"Take the Slytherin's to the dungeon and lock them up, Mr. Filch." McGonagall said. Amani started to panic. She didn't want to go to the dungeons like a prisoner. She didn't even believe in what Voldemort wanted. She could care less about blood purity and she wasn't about to go out for something she didn't believe.

"Wait!" Amani found her voice as she pushed out of the crowd, "There are some of us in Slytherin who don't follow Voldermort, why do we have to go to the dungeons? It doesn't seem fair if you ask me." Amani said as she finally made her way to stand in front of McGonagall. She glanced back over her shoulder to meet Draco's eyes. She was hoping she could will him to step forth with her and the others who were stepping away from the mass of Slytherins. When Draco looked down towards the ground in guilt, Amani bit her lip and turned back to face the Gryffindor Head of House.

"And how are you going to prove yourself, Miss Mihtar?" McGonagall spoke as she looked down her nose at the Slytherin before her. McGonagall had all right to think Amani was lying. She had been hanging out with Draco since her fifth year and it would seem to anyone outside the relationship that Amani agreed with all of Draco's beliefs. But, no one  knew Draco's true beliefs except her.

"They'll valgue for me, won't you?" She asked turning towards her old Gryffindor friends, "you know me," she said, looking more at Hermione than the other two. Hermione and her had had heart to heart talks all the time before she had refriended Draco.
