(y/n) watched Varian overwork himself yet again. she walked over to him and hugged him from the back, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"take a break and cuddle with me pleaaasee?"

Varian completely ignored her and kept working.

(y/n) wouldn't give up though. she started giving him a back rub while kissing him repeatedly.

"mm Varian i love you sooo much~"

finally he responded
"(y/n) please stop being so clingy I'm working."
(y/n) didn't say anything, she just kissed his cheek and rubbed her cheek onto Varian's.

"(y/n) stop." he responded in a stern voice
"UGH FINE ILL JUST GO OUTSIDE AND DO SOMETHING ELSE"

(y/n) stormed out the door and into the garden.
"sometimes i wonder why i even love him. in fact, does he even love me?"

she picked up a rose and started picking its petals.
"he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me..."

she picked off the last petal

"he loves you~"

(y/n) looked up to see Varian staring at her with a flirtatious look.
"i love you and you don't need a silly rose to tell you that"

he took the rose she held and threw it onto the floor.
"oh. i thought you loved your alchemy more?"
(y/n) huffed.

Varian tackled her with a cuddle onto the floor
"i love you more than i love alchemy, and i'm sorry for ignoring you. pleaseee forgive me babe?"

(y/n) blushed at this nickname
"aww how could i say no to that face?" she said, nuzzling his cheek lightly.

Varian chuckled and carried (y/n) bridal style back inside.
he put her down on the sofa where he snuggled next to her
"i promise i'll never ignore you again"
