JULIET STEADIED HERSELF, rolling her shoulders back and holding her head high. She wanted to do this, she needed to.

After her confrontation with Zoë, they had another conversation about talking to Rowan.

"If you feel ready and trust her, you should." Zoë had told her, "You don't have to date her but just let her know that you know."

Juliet had took her words into account, deciding she was going to talk to Rowan, her Romeo.

First, she washed her face before putting some makeup on, covering up the dark circles and puffy eyes best she could. She didn't want to look a mess.

Then, she headed to class. She had decided recess would be the best time for the confrontation. The sooner the better.

When recess came, she was filled with nervousness. Her stomach was killing her but she had to do it. She had to.

So, Juliet approached Rowan's group of who sat beneath a large tree. Her feet were moving slowly and lips pursed.

"Juliet!" Madeline called out, waving her arm intensely.

"Hey, Maddie." Juliet nodded.

"What brings you to the tree?" She inquired.

"Well, uh, I was wondering if I could speak to Rowan." Juliet told her, she could feel a lump rising in her throat.

"Well, I think you'll have to ask Rowan about that." Maddie nodded towards the girl who sat beside her.

Juliet linked eyes with Rowan, not saying anything but just the look was enough.

"Sure." Rowan pushed herself up with one arm, "I'm all ears."

"Do you mind if we talk over there?" Juliet nodded towards the fence nearby of which was free of people.

"Of course." Rowan smiled, following Juliet over there.

When they reached the fence, Juliet leant against it and pursed her lips. "I know."

"Know what?" Rowan asked.

"That you're Romeo."

A smile lit Rowan's face, one full of pure joy and satisfaction. "I knew you could do it."

Juliet smiled back at her, looking affectionately at the girl. "It was hard, at first."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that I just... I'd been planning it for ages I just hoped you would react okay." Rowan's smile didn't leave her face but it softened into one of slight concern. "You're okay with it, right? I mean me being a girl and all."

"I don't know yet. I'd never considered it before and it opened my eyes very suddenly to something I'd been holding back but I'm glad I've realised. It's not easy and I'm still not sure but I'm not going to let it hold me back." Juliet told her.

"I'm glad and you wouldn't mind me making the journey of discovery with you, would you?" Rowan asked her.

Juliet's smile widened and she slipped her hands into Rowan's. "I would love you to."

"Well, I think first thing's first, date?" Rowan raised her eyebrows.

"Sure." Replied Juliet with a nod.

"Thank god you said yes." Rowan sighed in relief. "Anyway, me and you, the movies this weekend? Love, Simon just came out and I've been waiting in anticipation to see it for months."

"Sounds perfect."
