Chapter 9

Ben's P.O.V.

Once we got home, I changed into pyjamas and went downstairs.
I went to the living room to see that Brock, Griffin and Lennon were all in there.
I sat between Griffin and Lennon and started watching tv.
"Ben, is your homework done?" Brock asked me.
"No. Homework's for chumps, remember?" I answered.
Griffin laughed and said "Who told you that?"
"Lennon." I replied.
"Nice." Griffin said high fiving Lennon and I.

"Teaching him the rules and how to break them?" Griffin asked.
"You know it." Lennon answered.
"So Ben, do you have homework?" Brock asked.
"No. I don't. And if I did, it would probably already be done." I answered.
Brock nodded and asked Lennon "So what did you and Ben do today?"
"We just stayed here for most of the day but we went to the park for an hour or so, and then came back home. We went to Dairy Queen at 3:00 or 3:30, had dinner and had blizzards for dessert. Then we went to Blake and Cole's house and from their house, we went to the school." Lennon answered.
"Sounds fun." Brock replied.

"Ben, when did you call Griffin then?" Brock asked.
"Around three o'clock we FaceTimed and then Lennon was talking about how it would be nice if Griffin could come see him play in the football game tonight. I went to our room and called Griffin on the phone and talked to him about it." I explained.
Brock nodded and Griffin asked me "Did you have fun at Blake and Cole's house?"
"Yeah. I went there once before with Lennon but I never knew they had a dog. Bear is so cute." I answered.
"I know he is." Griffin agreed.
"Was there anybody else there besides Blake and Cole?" Griffin asked.
"No. Well except for their parents. They were there." I answered.
"Yeah. Last time we were there, Jasper, Aiden, and Collin were all there." Lennon added.
"That's cool." Griffin replied.

"And last time we were there, Ben got body slammed by Collin." Lennon smirked.
"Shut up." I said.
"Collin body slammed you?! Like little Collin?" Griffin laughed.
"He's not little. He's super tall." I defended.
"He got taller over the summer so now he's almost as tall as Blake." Lennon told Griffin.
Griffin nodded and put me down.
"Ben, it's 9:30 which I know is past your bedtime. Please get ready for bed and I'll let you stay up until ten. But if your mom comes home, pretend you're sleeping." Brock told me.
I nodded and went to the washroom and brushed my teeth.

I came back downstairs and saw that Rae and Izzy were home.
I hugged them and sat down on the couch.
Ten minutes later my mom's car pulled into the driveway and I quickly leaned over to Griffin and fake slept.

"Hey guys. Griffin, what are you doing here?" My mom asked surprised.
"Ben asked me to come home early to see Lenny play in the football game tonight. He got a touchdown." Griffin answered.
"That's great, Lenn. Good job. I'm sorry I wasn't there to see it. Today was a super long day in the office." My mom explained.
"It's fine. You only missed one game, so you didn't really miss much." Lennon replied.
"Ben's right out, huh?" My mom said and I heard her walk over to me.
She ran her hand through my hair and kissed my cheek.

"I'm gonna head up to bed. Goodnight boys." My mom said.
"Goodnight." They replied.
I heard her go upstairs and I got off of Griffin and opened my eyes.
Lennon poked my side and I started laughing.
He stopped and Brock asked "Are you boys excited to have your own rooms?"
"Yeah." Griffin answered.
"Hell yeah." Lennon added.
"What about you Ben?" Brock asked.
"I guess." I replied.
"Aww, is BenBen gonna miss sharing a room with me?" Lennon cooed.
"Shut up. Don't call me that." I replied shoving him.
He laughed and said "Don't push me unless you want to end up in a chokehold on the floor."
I moved closer toward Griffin and Lennon laughed.
"Dude, if you move any closer, you will be sitting on me." Griffin laughed.
"Well tell him to stop." I said.
"Lenny, give the kid a break." Griffin replied.
Lennon sighed and didn't do anything.
