People familiar with Indian movies would be able to relate. I have lost count of the number of movies which portray the hero to be a MACHO guy who call kill 20 men all by himself while the heroine would be a character who would be unable to move a small stone. The hero would be a guy who is strong, brave, intelligent and a well-spoken guy . DAAAAMNN don't you understand that you've set the mark for boyfriends way too high? :P  Isn't this way toOOO unrealistic to expect boys to satisfy it? Probably why guys who don't indulge in a fight in school are called 'nerds' (Like, nerd is a bad thing  huh) and pussies (HOW RUDE!!!!) The heroine would be ...hmmm.. lemme think.hm......... OH YEAH! Beautiful! That's what she would be! BEAUTIFUL ! A girl whose hair stays in place after a storm , a girl who doesn't eat her lipstick along with food :P , a girl whose dress would be on point after days of adventure.

Most heroines make their appearances only in songs. Yeah, basically girls to sing and dance. And these days a trend is picking up called ''women centric films''. Yes, it is nice to see the girls kick some ass but in my opinion , we are still in a state where movies driven by women are a rarity and hence we make business out of the fact that these movies are specimens to be noticed. Irrelevant ,but lets say we learn in school about Presidents and Prime Ministers. The book says ''Here is Mr.Xyz , Mr.Pqr etc who were from this duration. There were women ALSO In such posts blah blah''. You get the analogy? If women driven films and women lead countries were common ,would such special mentions be necessary? I don't think so.

Stalking in Indian movies is so damn popular. Boy goes around the girl nagging her, eventually she agrees. Like, what the heck? This trend shown in movies is taking a serious turn in reality. Boys who have believed that THIS is a good technique and that the girl would fall for them , when faced with rejection resort to dangerous means. The number of murders and acid attack cases are countless. One of the  reasons why my parents tell me to STFU when boys comment and get out of the place rather than implementing my ''feminist shit'' there.

sO i would say that movies do contribute a lot to this mindset as well
