Today was the day. I'm going to wake up. Of course, I've been saying that for the last four days. Every day Sasha comes back and hopes. Every day my mom comes back and hopes. Every day Draco comes back and hopes. I can't disappoint.
Liza came in to change my vitals. She told me today was Monday. Everyone was at work. No one was coming.
The next few hours were very boring. Doctors came in and poked and prodded me. They told me to move. I only did sometimes. When I did, they all gasp and wrote stuff down (that's what it sounded like, but I couldn't see them.)
They left after a while. I was lonely. That's all I've been. Lonely.
I don't want to be lonely. I want to have a real life. When I got rejected, I felt like I didn't matter. But I do. I matter to my mom, Sasha, Bryce, Draco, my grandmother. They all care. No matter what. I can't leave them.
I open my eyes.
