Second Chances

Chapter 3

*Hinata P.O.V*

As I was training to become the head of the Hyuga clan my father kept thinking that Hanabi would be a better leader than me. As I trained hard I kept thinking that I had to train harder to stand with Naruto-Kun. My father thought that I was weak and useless. 

He thought that since I stuttered that I was weak and that since I was having trouble training I was not cut out to be a ninja. When I was done training my father told me that he was considering Hanabi leading the Hyuga clan instead of me.

I ran out of the compound and ran into the woods. It hurt me a lot when they told me I was useless and weaker in comparison to Hanabi. I had stopped running and tried to catch my breath when I heard groanings and thumps.

 I looked and saw some pink-haired girl, Naruto-kun and another kid playing, they looked like they were having a good time. They were quite lucky, being able to be free and hanging out with Naruto-kun too.

*Sakura P.O.V*

I told my Otousan and Okaasan that I was going to play with some friends and ran out of the door. That was close, I thought to myself quite scared if they had said no, I might not have been able to befriend Naruto, Ino and maybe Hinata.

As I ran to the park I saw Naruto getting beat up. I ran over and stopped the fist that was gonna hit him. It still hurt me since I was still weak, but I held my ground.

 "What are you doing he deserves to be hit" the boy had said, " What did he ever do to you? How does he deserve to be hurt if he did nothing" I asked "Did he ever hurt you? No, so you can't go making scenes" I said angrily.

As the boy got scared and ran off I rushed over to Naruto and asked "Are you ok Naruto? Do you need to rest?" Naruto just said "I'm fine Sakura-chan thank you for saving me." with a light blush on his face. I smiled, he liked me when he was small, but in the future, he realizes he loves Hinata.

"Hey Naruto, want to play with me. We can then eat ramen." I asked, "YES!" he coughed and spoke again calmer. "Yes, Sakura-chan and thank you so much for helping me. Let's play! Dattebayo," Naruto said his eye sparkling like he just won a lifetime supply of ramen. As we ran we bumped into Shikamaru.

 "Shika, want to play with Naru and me we are going to play tag, "I asked. He just lazily noded with a small mutter of "What a drag" to which I just giggled as we played and I noticed Hinata. 

 I stopped running which lead to Shika to bump into me. I yelled " Hi Hyuga-san" and waved my arm in the air. Hinata came out and looked really shy, she started blushing when she saw Naruto, and I just giggled.

I ran up to her and said "Do you want to play with us Hyuga-san?" she just shyly nodded and she said " M-m-my n-n-n-name is Hin-hina Hinata" I nodded and introduced myself along with the others"Well my name is Sakura, the guy with the pineapple hair is Shikamaru, and the one with sun-kissed hair is Naruto"

 "I heard that Sakura" Shika stated. I just giggled and said " I'm sorry" and giggled again."Well we're playing tag then we are gonna get ramen. You're welcome to join Hinata-chan" I said. Hinata-chan just nodded and started to play. 

Even though she was shy she did really well and she sometimes laughed. When we were tired we went to get ramen . We all got miso ramen. We laughed and joked till we all had to leave each saying that we should play again.

*Hinata P.O.V*

I looked at them wishing to play. That was until the girl with pink hair saw me and asked: "Do you want to play with us Hyuga-san?" 

I just shyly nodded and said, " M-m-my-n-n-n-name is Hin-hin-Hinata." I thought that I blew it with my stuttering and they wouldn't want to play with me anymore, but she just showed a small smile and introduced herself along with the other boy.

Sakura seemed very joyful and full of energy, she also was really pretty. I would never be that pretty, I said to myself in my mind. I seemed to have spaced out cause Sakura was giggling while the boy, Shikamaru, seemed to be a bit annoyed but seemed to smile when he heard Sakura smiled.

They then turned to me and said that I was welcomed to join on in their game of tag. I just nodded and started to play. Even though I was shy I did ok and I sometimes laughed. It was really fun to play with them!

 When we were tired we went to get ramen we all got miso ramen. I blushed whenever Naruto-kun talked to me and laughed. I had finally spoken to Naruto-kun and he was just as bright as Sakura, he seemed to have fun by doing pranks and loved ramen a lot.

When it was time to go I didn't want to go I had so much fun that I didn't want to go back to my cold home, I smiled at them as they left and slowly made my way home. I hoped that father was busy training Hanabi so he wouldn't ask me where I had been. 

I smiled remembering how much fun I had with Sakura, Naruto-kun, and Shikamaru. I hope we'll play again very soon, I thought as I entered the cold place I called home.
