Second Chances

chapter 10

*Sakura P.O.V*

The two days went by really fast and before I knew it was one more day before I left. I ran out as early as I could do we could have a lot of time to play.

I ran to the park and waited there a bit till gaara-kun came. “Hey gaara-kun let's train for a bit” I said he just smiled and said “sakura-chan let's train”. also forgot but gaara-kun smiles more when he is with me. I wonder why.

He doesn't really like when I smile a boys when were walking around village. He just glares at them. Whatever right now we were training and my hair got in the way every time we did something.

So I told him about my decision about cutting my hair. He looked shocked but just said “if you want to you should. I think it would be better since you are training to be a ninja someone could use it against you so I think you should”

I just nodded. I wanted to wait till the chunin exams but it kept getting in the way of training so I ran home and got scissors and cut it off. (she looks like when she cut her hair) I missed my short hair  so I was happy and ran back to gaara-kun.

He looked shocked but smiled and I think I even saw him blush but I just pushed it away. It was a fun last day and we played all day. Sometimes temari and kankuro came too they even started treating gaara-kun as a real sibling. I left a little early cause I still needed to help clean and pack up my clothes. I also wanted to get something for gaara-kun so he could remember me.

*Gaara P.O.V*

I was thinking about what to give to sakura-chan temari and kankuro were helping me look for gifts for her. They also become close to her and treated her like a sister. They also obviously found out about my crush on her and teased me whenever they had a chance.

I finally decided to give her a cherry blossom locket.( the one in the media)

On one side it had a picture of me and her and on the other was a picture of me and my siblings. I really hoped she liked it and remembered me. As I walked home. I was thinking about her  I would never forget her.

Her short pink hair, her emerald eyes that sparkles when she is happy, he pink lips, her heart shaped face and most of all her warm radiate smile. I was home so i went straight to my bed and i started thinking about her she was my first friend and I loved her.

She pulled me out of darkness and into the light. She showed me how to be happy and have fun. All of these thoughts were in my head and I soon fell fast asleep.

*Sakura P.O.V*

I finally decided what to give him. I went to a store and bought two bracelets one for him and one for me.

I ran home and went to sleep since I packed and cleaned up the hotel we were staying in so they didn't have too much things to do.

I was happy and sad I mean I'm going to leave gaara-kun temari and kankuro but i'm going back to konoha. All these thoughts also swirl around in my head about how I was affecting the future and if I was doing good things. I soon went to sleep.

*Next day* (still sakura P.O.V)

I woke up took a shower changed and ran outside where I saw my mom and dad there ready to leave so I grabbed my bag and went outside with them as they returned the key to the owner.

We were close to the gates when I stopped and waited a bit since I saw gaara-kun while my mom and dad said goodbye to some I didn't know.

I yelled as gaara-kun and his siblings ran to me. Temari hugged me and said “ bye sakura don't forget me ok and also send letters to us k” next was kankuro who also hugged me and said “ bye sakura-chan we’ll meet again and also don't go doing bad puns without me kay” i just grinned and said “ sure kankuro” lastly was gaara who looked a bit nervous.

I hugged him and he hugged back. “Sakura-chan don't forget us ok and here” he handed me a cherry blossom locket. I open it and saw a picture of me and gaara and on the other side it was a picture of all of them.

I started to cry and before I could I stopped and help in my tears. I gave him the bracelet I bought for us. I got the pinkish/reddish one while he got a green one that said friends forever. He smiled and cried too.

One we were done I had to go and I kept on waving to them until I couldn't see them at all. I was also prepared for the journey ahead of us.
